Quite disappointed with the cleanliness of room 22. I don’t think the bathrooms get cleaned at all to be honest. Rather just supplies topped up and a streaked mirror and shower glass. I didn’t even bother letting anyone know about the bathroom since they can’t clean it right the first time, I did it myself so I knew my family could do their business without having to worry about someone else’s dirty mess. For how luxurious the rooms look in photos, they’re not clean. The cups for tea and coffee look dirty, not sure if they’re ever replaced with clean ones, teaspoons are not polished so I assume they’re dirty too. No face washers, 1 square of soap for a family room of 4, the towels are small not luxury. For the price paid per night, I’m not going to be staying again I’m sorry. The ham and pineapple pizza … I was expecting charcoaled pineapple as stated on the menu but instead I received tinned pineapple rings on my sloppy pizza. I’m totally let down by...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting the Atherton Hotel, and I must highlight the exceptional service provided by Lisa, the bartender. From the moment I walked into the bar, Lisa's warm and welcoming demeanor set a positive tone for the evening. She was not only lovely and nice but also incredibly helpful throughout my visit.
Lisa's knowledge of the drink menu was impressive, and she took the time to make personalized recommendations based on my preferences. Her attention to detail and genuine care for the guests truly stood out. Whether it was crafting the perfect cocktail or engaging in friendly conversation, Lisa made the experience memorable.
It's clear that Lisa takes pride in her work and goes above and beyond to ensure that every guest feels valued and well taken care of. Her outstanding service is a testament to the high standards of the Atherton Hotel. I highly recommend stopping by the bar and experiencing Lisa's wonderful...
Read moreWe had one night here and were happy with our stay. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Looks like the room had been recently renovated. Our only issue was the limited number of racks/hooks for hanging things in the bathroom. (Otherwise bathroom excellent.) At check-in we were given vouchers for two free drinks at the bar and told hotel guests get 10% of meals in the bistro. So, that was good. The Bistro offered a fairly mainstream pub-grub style menu and had zilch ambience, but the food was fine - and we got our discount! So, the hotel was OK, however we were less impressed by Atherton, finding the town a bit of a non-event. There are a lot of attractive places to stay on the Tablelands, but Atherton is not one of them. If you're here on business, the Nightcap, would be an excellent base. But if you are tourist, like us, you might be better off in somewhere...
