Bella's Chit Chat Cafe — Restaurant in Queensland

We were staying at Mantra Hervey Bay and googling for the best cafes around the area. This place was one of the top in the list. I ordered for 3 - 2 Bacon Egg Avo on Bagel and 1 just bacon and bagel. Coffees were fantastic, My son's bacon and bagel arrived first. waiting waiting waiting for the next 2 orders. It's been nearly 30 minutes and still nothing. All the other people who ordered after us already got their orders. You wouldn't like me when I am hangry! So went to the counter for a follow up, just to be told, they forgot our orders! And.... they ran out of bagels! asked me if I prefer just a normal bread/toast, I said yes. At this point, I could eat the table cos I am very hangry! Late order came in and my son's friend got the correct one and I got a small muffin instead. (just like the small muffin they serve in Maccas). The server said, we gave you some fries to make up for it. We also got 1 free extra coffee, which was rushly made and it looked like just an instant cofee which I could've made myself in the hotel. $65+ for the 3 of us, our food is not worth that. I always lobe giving reviews and promoting places/restaurants/cafes but our experience that day was quite abysmal and below average. The guy who took my order was apologetic but it does not discount the fact that they forgot our orders and came out wrong. I did not take a photo because all I wanted to do is eat! Sorry I cannot...

Positives Lovely location for a Cafe. The front of house staff were friendly. Negatives The food was cold The Chips tasted like they had been cooked a year a go and reheated in the microwave. The worst fish I have ever had. Slimy and cold in the middle. Steak sandwich had a piece steak the size of a 1 dollar coin on it. It was like chewing on an old pair of boots.

Overall the place was disappointing and could be so much better. There was about 4 different boards outside listing all of the chefs specials.... rather than doing all of these "specials" why don't you just reduce the menu and get the basic meals done correctly.

Won't be returning...

So went out for a nice family Father’s Day lunch first thing I noticed was the seafood was packet frozen cheap seafood. So we ordered burgers and a salmon salad stated very clearly no dairy as allergic not by choice burger came out with mayo asked if it was dairy free no one could tell me yes or no. Sent burger back mayo just scraped off and sent back out after taking two bites realised this had happened great way to make people sick. Also noticed other people taking meals back not a good sign at all. Thanks for destroying a great lunch definitely...
