Childer pizza and kebab — Restaurant in Queensland

Terrible service and food i have tried this place twice and both times it was a bad experience and over priced food, new owners are rude, I thought I would try again tonight as theres not many options for pizza here, it was another bad experience I ordered here for pick up/takeaway and was told my order would be ready in 20 minutes when I arrived the restaurant had locked the door, I had to wait in the pouring rain and knocking for 15 mins and still waiting, I than had to call them again to be let in.. by then I was drenched, after finally getting into the restaurant they refused to admit that was bad customer service and refused any type of discount while there employees laughed about it and the manager denied it, the manager tried to make out like I was lying but once I showed him the proof he quickly changed his attitude, they also deleted the call history to try and say I didn't call but I showed them my call history and the young girl behind the counter finally admitted I'd called after they tried to tell me I didn't.. they are rude and won't admit there own faults everytime I've tried there restaurant it is never a good experience with...

This place was great when it was Neva Cafe, sadly since the new ownership and rebrand it has really gone downhill. Prices are up but quality is way down! The food is nowhere near as nice as it used to be, and that has been consistent over several visits.

My husband ordered a burger and was extremely disappointed to find it was essentially a baguette with a few toppings sprinkled on it with a side of dry, overcooked chips. I asked what was on the veggie burger and was told it was just salad... no way am I paying $14 for what is essentially a salad roll so I ordered a pizza which was doughy and burned.

Not one thing in our order was actually nice and most of it went into the bin. We were regulars when it was Neva, but after giving Childers Pizza and Kebab a few tries now, we definitely won't be back.

So sad to see what had become a local icon taken over and ruined. Maccas would have been nicer, and that's really saying something!

I have dietary restrictions for medical reasons and asked if they could do a Greek plate or loaded fries without the meat. This didn't seem to sit too well and the man serving offered me a small Greek salad. I stated I didn't want a salad and asked if he could just do the loaded fries with only the cheese and sauce. He said he could and I was happy. I then asked if in the future could they do me chips and salad and he said he could do that now. I get the same at a kebab shop in Bundy and it's a good, filling meal for about $10. I got a handful of chips and a handful of salad with no cheese and no sauce as I had ordered, and I would have paid close to $15. On the upside, the chips were nice.
