Terribly unwelcoming! The place has a large outdoor area with tables & chairs & a large deck area at the front both suitable places for patrons to sit outside with a dog but the large signs at the front warn anyone approaching that they are not welcome with a pet dog, Our party of 12 people with 2 dogs who had travelled up the highway for 7 hours would have liked to sit & rest for a while but upon seeing the signs we turned around & didn't enter. The bakery across the road received our money instead. Someone here really needs to write the blackboard offers clearer too, it really doesn't make sense! If my little dog is not welcome then how welcome do I feel? Are all assistance dogs allowed here as per QLD Gov regulations or only guide dogs as the signs say? I refuse to spend money at unwelcoming places like this, if I could give this place 0 stars I would! TERRIBLE!

Food looked absolutely beautiful. Staff are so inviting and lovely. Customer service amazing. We ordered the Eggs Benedict with Salmon, Eggs Benedict with mushrooms and ham and fish and chips. Got half way through the eggs Benedict and found that there what looked like a spider to me. Returned the meal to the staff, whom promptly returned the meal to the cook. The approached me and my family and advised that it wasn't a spider, the sauce was made freshly this morning. I explained to the cook, why does it have legs! Cook stuck to what she said originally. They didn't offer a refund, or even a partial as I did eat half of the meal before my arachnid find. I request a partial refund, staff gave a full refund. Eggs Benedict with mushrooms and ham was superb.

Our small family called into Kape Centro for our lunch today and I could not have had a more amazing customer experience. On a hot day in Childers the outside seating area is breezy and cool - so pleasant to enjoy a family meal, seats are comfy… tables were clean on arrival ! Some may know the difficulties in long road trips with young kids and boy oh boy did my baby have quick hands when he spilt my toddlers hot choccy across the table. But the customer service was amazing afterwards ( in general really ) but it’s just so refreshing when you don’t have customer service served with a side of frustration. Keep up the great work! Side note Childers looks as though it’s a fantastic little town to stop by and visit !!

Wish I could give ZERO STARS! Traveling from Bagara, my husband and I decided to sit down here for lunch after ordering lunch from a cross the road for our child who was very hungry and is not into cafe food. After ordering our meals and beverages and finding a table, we see signs posted in the seating area stating no outside food. After reading this our child was nearly reduced to tears due to hunger. So I ask to speak to the manager. The manager approaches and I explain that we already ordered a sandwich from across the road and ask, would it be possible to remove the packaging and place the sandwich on a cafe plate so she can eat while we have our meals as she is very hungry. This woman had zero empathy or compassion and was unreasonably unaccomodating for customers who've just ordered full meals and drinks. I pleaded with this woman for any solution so our hungry child could eat her sandwich, but she insisted that it was not even possible to put the sandwich on a plate and get rid of the wrapper so our daughter could eat with us. So I canceled my meal to take my daughter to eat her sandwich. Definitely NOT family friendly...I will...

We ordered a beef burger and chicken burger and chips and drinks. Waited 45 min ,place was serving at a moderate pace ,busy, but not overly so. We had to buy more drinks in the long wait and $5.50 geez, cost us $20 for drinks alone. Chips were great at least nice and crispy. Now in my opinion not so much the chicken burger. Chicken breast deep fried? Dry, burnt and hard on edge. coleslaw dry, milk bun fell apart it was too small to hold the chicken. I left half the bun ,my man ate the chicken I left ,tomatoes had no taste. Nothing had taste and we waited 45 min . Yes they were busy but not overly so that 10 min to make a burger would have seemed unreasonable. They were packing up tables and chairs at 1pm and ppl were stil coming in..... Prices are a bit rich. J said same about his beef burger no flavour. Looks better than it tasted. Place was so hot and uncomfortable. No fans but at least was undercover. Very squashed to move around. Drinks were not that cold. Food was fresh at least. Big menu which was good .cakes were far too expensive for something so small .only passing thru so no chance of going back. Staff...

We went there yesterday with my CPTSD assistance dog (in training), and were advised that we would not be allowed to dine-in unless we could produce a GAHD card (I am unable to produce a card as my dog is still in training, and she was wearing a recognised assistance dog in training jacket).

This is one of the very few places that are not progressive in recognising people who have assistance dogs and or other people who travel with their dog.

We weren’t even allowed to dine in the outdoor area.

We ended up getting takeout and dining in the park next door.

As a person with a diagnosed mental health condition, this was extremely distressing for me to be treated poorly.

The younger staff members could see I was visibly distressed and apologised, stating their boss would sack them if they allowed us to dine-in.

Would definitely not recommend this establishment for people travelling with dogs or people who have genuine assistance dogs if you don’t...
