We arrived at 4.50pm for our 5pm reservation. The gentleman who greeted us couldn't find our booking and they seemed unorganised, so they sat us in a corner at the end of the baine marie. The price was very expensive at $25 p/p plus around $5 per drink The fresh prawns were stored in the same bay mairie as the desserts which, in my opinion, is not very appropriate. The place looks professional, excellent colour scheme. Tables and chairs are beautiful. Proper covid precautions were made.
The food tasted watered down and didn't have enough seasoning. The honey chicken was crisp and soaking in the delicious honey sauce however it tasted like fish, as if they fried fish before doing the honey chicken which did not agree with my stomach.
My chicken wing was undercooked and I was unable to consume it.
The only foods I did enjoy while dining in were the Kung Po Chicken, Honey Pepper Chicken and the Fruit Cake was surprisingly nice, just needed more custard as it was a little dry.

Read moreWe got basic Chinese food from here, fried rice-ordinary, sweet and sour pork- extremely ordinary, Mongolian beef-not bad, garlic scallops- 25 bucks and not even scallops; but surimi (for the uninitiated fake scallops ) - massively over priced for a processed alternative. Vegetables pretty good, spring rolls (3 in a pack) $6 over priced but tasted good. Would i order again? probably not. You can get more bang for your buck somewhere else, they just need to pick up their act . Also had some dubious prawns at the buffet when we dined in. Each to their own but I would say go to the shop at Clinton ....since this review I did contact Josephine and especially made the order again and it was a delight very good customer service was...

Unfortunately, the meal choices in the Smorgasbord dwindled rapidly and were not replaced. I was really surprised that there was no steamed rice available. Also, the desserts were abysmal, a few pieces of cut melon and whole small apples and mandarins, along with a single bucket of half melted vanilla icecream. Go for the meat dishes, I can't fault them on those at all. The fried rice was good, but not exceptional. The table...
