We had been hiking not far from Boonah in the afternoon, we were late, it was dinner time we figured why not stop in at Boonah instead of stopping at Ipswich. My advise would be to keep driving. The service is terrible, no one smiles and the bar staff member is a bit clueless, she got my order of chicken wings and a side of chips wrong, she missed the chips entirely. At the food pick up point we enquired about the chips and were told "it's not on the ticket" I insist my order was wings and chips. He goes to talk to someone in the kitchen and comes back without an apology and advises if we want fries we need to order and pay. Paying is fine but, there is not much point when the rest of the order is already ready. I don't mind if mistakes are made, it happens but, I don't like poor service. It's not hard to smile and it's not hard to apologise if something hasn't gone right. I'm paying for this food which was average anyway and didn't have nearly...

Outdated & primitive. Like stepping back into history. Before adequate access apart from dry rot wrickerdy stairs. Chandelier of Booze cans, looks marginally better than the flies buzzing through the whole place. Lucky that this redneck accessory has a few good will spiders in occupancy. Obviously this has been a long term contract, by the amount of spiderwebs. This generational family tree, is making the signage on the cans. Make it impossible to determine how long ago, these pioneers decided to settle here. Don't think that must be good by the number of vehicles parked there. The truth is that the majority of patrons, are either motorcycle groups & local farmers. Let's face it though, these types of people are use to the hot summer elements. Of the dry weather wind, blowing a dust storm into their faces. And of course being splattering by bugs is part of their...

Stopped here for lunch while doing The Head Scenic Drive from Killarney to Boonah . We chose to sit outside in the beer garden as we had our dog with us . The beer and other drinks chosen were refreshingly cold , which was a welcome relief on a very hot dayđŸș🧋 I had a steak sandwich and chips for my lunch , the sandwich was good but NOT the chips .They were very ordinary in taste to say the least , they had no flavour what so ever , even after I added salt to them....I would also like to add that the outdoor tables & chairs could do with a good clean as there was quite alot of droppings on them

Service has gone downhill. There is no care or standard but blunt rudeness when ordering. You’re hastily served and chugged along and the menu has had a recent price jump but doesn’t not match any standard of quality or healthy options. Kids meals were disappointing and the lady with the red hair was quite rude when we tried to order and abruptly shouted across the bar when our order option was not available, “no!!! We are still out of the pulled pork burgers’. Won’t be back, I think there are much better options in town that don’t have cigarette smell in the designated dining room.
