I remember the first day Gus opened in Northside Plaza.........I approached the tall man behind the counter and he introduced himself as Jason or Gus, whatever I preferred! I told him, "If your coffee tastes anywhere as good as your logo and set up looks, you are set for world domination" We have been friends ever since and Gus is honestly a part of my everyday life. So much so that I once created an art piece using only Gus coffee cups, my daughter and I helped to paint Gus's feature walls in the George Street shop and I now receive a text or phone call from Gus staff, concerned for my wellbeing if I miss a day or two buying my coffee! A spacious cafe with a variety of seating; couches, bar stools and high table and chairs. Some basic outdoor seating. There was a variety of prepared snacks and pastries on display. My ham and cheese croissant took less than 5 mins to heat and serve. It was fresh and tasty; a good start to the day. There's a drinks fridge with a small range of juices, water and soft drinks.
