I don't know how you can mess up so badly, we arrived roughly around 9:45ish upon getting ready to close but still open as there were people inside, and the drive-through was open
We went through the drive through to order to which we were told to wait, we didn't mind waiting especially as we'd just gotten off shift and really just wanted to eat instead of go to bed on an empty stomach... we waiting maybe 5 minutes or so?
I had ordered a little g burrito with just pulled pork (only rice and cheese plus the mest should be inside), we drove through and they could only take card which I wanted to pay cash but ultimately didn't mind as I knew they would be closing shortly amd the cash had likely already been counted
We waited at least over 10 minutes until we were told it'd be longer as they had turned off the fryer for the chips, and we told them we didn't mind which was true as we were super easy going
However once getting the home with the food my friend hadn't gotten her coke with her meal, and my chips were drenched in so much flavouring to the point I couldn't eat and neither could she, there was more then a lot
My burrito also wasn't a Little G burrito... so completely not what I ordered and not mixed up with hers as she got 3 hard shell tacos...
Instead, I got a large burrito with a brushcetta mix in it, which, unfortunately, I don't mind, so I've just wasted my time and money on food. I can't even consume
Plus, while we were waiting, they had completely turned the lights off, so we were waiting in the dark. Again, I understand they were closing, but shouldn't you do that once all customers are gone?
The staff seemed confused and lost, a young guy had served us.
I understand wanting to get out, especially on time, but at the end of the day, you're getting paid to do a job, and we pay money, regardless of how much it is.
If I'd known my time and money would be wasted just to go home after working from 11:00am to 9:30pm I would of gone elsewhere.
Next time, please just be upfront and say you're not taking orders instead of messing absolutely everything up.
So after a long shift with only breakfast I have to go home...
Read moreThe music is way too loud so loud I have a headache which is really sad as "the food is great I really enjoy it". But I can't hear my phone I can't hear people talking and I couldn't hear them call my number. Service will get better I am sure as soon as they turn that dam music down it is ridiculous everyone is screaming over the music it is noisier than a night club. The Store was so busy that they couldn't clean the tables or clear the rubbish off them. I was determined to sit down so I cleared and cleaned my own table but I watched people walk out because of how the dining room looked. Sad because as I said the food is good actually it's fantastic. They just need more staff or for the staff they have to be doing more lots of them being new were not doing as much as they could have. The noise is making it hard for things to coordinate as well as they could so it was a big drama being heard when I ordered...
Read moreWe have tried Hervey Bay GYG twice. The 1st time the burritos had uncooked chicken in them, we gave our meals back and respectfully asked for a refund and then we left. They did offer us a voucher for one free burrito..(like another burrito is what we want from a place trying to poison us!) The 2nd time was about 6 months later thinking the raw chicken burritos might have been a new business hiccup, and I get served a burrito with an unidentifiable grey slop (assuming it was what they call "pulled pork") it was absolutely inedible. I can't even describe the taste, it had so many underlying levels of putrid tastes no actual one ingredient could be identified as the rank culprit. I spat the singular mouthful back into the paper bag and threw it in the bin and vowed to NEVER support Hervey Bay GYG again.
