High Tide Coffee — Restaurant in Queensland

Coffee is actually pretty good, but the service is strange. Sometimes the girls are lovely and other times it feels as though you’re bothering them. The guy that owns it obviously sets the standard with service.. he goes out of his way to talk with his mates, yet won’t even acknowledge you if you arrive at the service counter where he is serving, even if he makes eye contact with you. if you’ve been there you’ll understand how weird it is in such a small space to blatantly ignore someone, especially when that person is a paying customer. This experience has been constant and today’s awkwardness was the last straw. I won’t be holding meetings or introducing new people to this spot anymore and I certainly will be buying my coffee from the oodles of great cafes in cairns that care about...

Friendly environment. I waited a couple of weeks from the opening to come and have a look and was pleasantly surprised. Had a very nice Bacon & Egg puff pastry quiche with a Piccolo coffee and bought a Vanilla Slice to take home😋. Lovely cosy atmosphere inside and good footpath tables with easy parking right at the front or around the building. Great to see that it's getting busy! And you can bring your dog on your walks.
