Joes Pizza Earlville — Restaurant in Queensland

I googled Pizza delivery Cairns to support a local business instead of Domino's. Joe's Pizza showed up as 4.3 stars with pasta & ribs as options.

The woman on the phone at 17:44 pm said our order of a large pizza $28.50 ribs $22.50 and Coke would arrive in 45 - 60 minutes. Fair enough.

LOST 1 STAR At 18:50 pm I called 1 hour 6 minutes later to ask where our order was? I heard a male voice in the background state our order was still instore. The female voice on the phone stated the delivery was on its way as the driver had other deliveries in the area to do he was 10 - 15 minutes more.

The driver arrived 7 minutes later to state they had thrown the bag at him...then he corrected himself to say given it to him and didn't know what the heat bag contained....

Yep, they had overlooked our order....

LOST 2 STARS The Pizza was lukewarm to cold upon delivery. Their shop is 5 minutes away.... Not happy, $28.50 for COLD Pizza? Domino's doesn't even do that with 3 hot pizzas for the same price as their 1 Pizza with delivery fee.

A cold pizza was a pity, the size and its weight was surprising. I am sure the Pizza would have tasted better if it was hot and delivered earlier.

LOST 3 STARS I ordered COKE but got Pepsie Max. The woman on the phone at 17:44 pm never told me that they only sell Pepsie.

After reviewing another pizza place this evening I thought I should rate the place I go to the most. Joe's Pizza at Earlville.

Joe's is almost always very good. I have eaten a number of pizzas, pastas and wings from here and they are almost always very good.

I prefer the Joe's supreme, I like the Aussie but it can be a mess. The wings are a fried full boomerang wing and the hot sauce (I think its Franks) is very nice. Flavour is key and Joe's has it in spades.

The carbonara is generally nice too, fettuccine is our preferred.

The only knock on Joe's is that is can be pricey, but it's a good feed and if you compare it to a chain, it's not even close, spend the money and get Joes.

I would give it 5 stars but occasionally you get a meal, out of nowhere that is not up to scratch and to be honest, they haven't been great about it when I as a long term customer mention it. Not a deal breaker, but it does take the edge off them...

Have been eating joes pizza for 20 +years. tonight was the worst ever. under cooked. Driver didnt have change that I told on phone order. Poor driver had to come back & didnt have the right change not his fault So i lost a couple of bucks big deal.I get mistakes. but going down hill fast. I knew the family that owned it not sure as its just been sold out but guessing so.?? Pizza tonight was horrid. Edit 25/07/2023. Wait 1 hr ok wait 1 hr 20, COLD AS IN REALLY COLD.( health of food service). Complaint is sent to cairns city council about food safety, I just hope the owner reads this & steps up.
