When we arrived the restaurant was empty, I thought that would make for a lovely dining experience! HA! They didn't have Onion Rings. WTF! What HJ's doesn't have onion rings. Thats almost like a KFC without chicken! Calm down I said almost.
The first table we went to was dirty so we went to the next one and that was ok. In the area we were sitting in the floor was dirty, as in chips and rubbish on the floor.
The tray they gave us to carry the food was greasy. Like, it makes you wonder what they be doing with these trays kind of greasy. Even to the point even my teenage son stuck up his nose and exclaimed, "Ewwww!" when he picked up the tray. When a teenage boy notices something is dirty, that is saying something.
I saw one on the cooks make a burger with gloves on then check his phone and have a conversation with all the staff around the kitchen regarding the content on the phone then go back to making another burger, with the SAME gloves he touched his phone with. I bet you he checks that phone in the toilet! Ewwwwww!
I think the management need to look at their staff's capabilities. I couldn't tell if there was a manager but there was no direction given when there was plenty to do and staff not really doing anything except talking and serving.
The food was good but given their time capabilities I would have expected a burger made with a bit of care however both my husband and I received a burger which was sliding all over the place, I believe the term "slop burger" applies here.
I kind of grossed out thinking about the cook and his contaminated phone but it won't stop me from going again but hopefully they "clean" up...

Yesterday, I visited your drive-thru and was served by a young lady. While I commend her for doing a great job overall, there was a misunderstanding regarding my order that required me to ask for a manager.
I specifically requested an Angry Whopper meal, but she insisted she heard "cheeseburger meal" and was unwilling to adjust the order. It's important to understand that when a customer places an order, they are legally entitled to receive what they requested. While I appreciate that mistakes can happen, especially in a fast-paced environment like a drive-thru, the customer's right to receive their requested order is paramount. My intention was not to get a free meal, but simply to receive the Angry Whopper meal I asked for.
I want to offer some constructive feedback. For future interactions, always repeat the order back to the customer and confirm it during payment. Even if it means asking twice, it helps ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction. If there's any uncertainty, or if a mistake has been made, it's always best to involve a supervisor or manager. This not only resolves the immediate issue but also reinforces the principle that the customer's request should be fulfilled.
I believe with a focus on active listening and order verification, she will continue to excel...
Read moreHaving kids, and travelling you are going to find yourself going to these places as a quick snack in between appointments as they have the straightforward clearcut access and parking. Trying to go somewhere decent to rest always has you driving around forever trying to find a park. Plus I'm not familiar with town.
So, we are here. Tried the crunchy chicken burgers. Chicken was dark brown, so much false advertising in what it looks like. Was as though it had been cooked in cold dirty oil. Chips tasted the same way. Were cold and just not nice. Luckily we were heading to an appointment close by and had travelled for or I would have complained.
Took a while to be served as the manager (female) preferred to stand out the back near the counter talking to other staff instead of making sure people were getting served.
Plus side the restaurant area looked clean, weren't many in there. But probably one...
