Ichi Maki (Stockland shop) — Restaurant in Queensland

Visiting family in Gladstone from Tassie and wanted something "different" for dinner. Was taken to Ichi Maki at the Gladstone West shopping complex. Great little hole in the wall joint. Quite a varied menu and competitive prices. Went with a Hot Box and wasn't disappointed. Just enough heat to keep it interesting and a big enough serving to satisfy a big lad like myself. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a change from the usual takeaway joints, whether you're a local or a visitor like me. Get in there....

Very disappointed, normally we enjoy our meals. But tonight our special fried rice was VERY ordinary we also added chicken pineapple and cashews, it looked like saffron rice with a few things thrown in. It had zero prawns, about 6 small pieces of chicken and 1/2 doz cashews and pineapple. It didn’t have any of the nice flavours that fried rice normally has. HOPELESS!!! We ordered from their menu and my meal never happened. Hubby's turned up and it was slops. Turns out, curried chicken is fried schnitzel smothered in packet curry gravy.
