Ramen Nobu — Restaurant in Queensland

Tucked into one of the best features of this Shopping Centre, Lantern Lane, this humble looking ramen shop has the best tonkotsu ramen in Cairns (that we've discovered so far). Girlfriend and I ordered two tonkotsu ramen, one with extra tamago (egg), a BBQ pork bun and a couple of iced teas. While the pork bun was merely average (not great, not bad) and the iced teas were, well, iced teas, the ramen..............wow! The broth was complex, deeply flavoured, the viscosity was incredible. Such sticky, oily, porky goodness! The chasiu pork was melt-apart tender and flavourful. The noodles were firm, excellent elasticity, lovely texture and favour. The tamago was perfectly seasoned. So good, my girlfriend was sad she didn't get an extra as well. Cabbage had a lovely hint of sesame, everything was lovely and fresh. Serving size was perfect and rather filling, although we're not usually big eaters (they offer Kaedama anyway). Staff were friendly and super polite. All around a fantastic experience, can't wait to go back, highly recommend....

The food was okish and would not return for the food however I am leaving the review due to embarassing service in hopes that the shop owner will change their attitude. My children can be fussy at times about new food so I ordered 1 ramen with lots of extras (egg, pork, crocette, noodles, a drink) incase they did/did not like the broth. The cost all up was nearly $35 for the lunch time meal. I asked for a fork for 1 child and a second bowl and set of chopsticks for my other child. The man gave me a bowl but refused to give me a second set of disposable chopsticks as I had only ordered 1 set! Really? For the cost of a set of chopsticks you have lost any chance of me as a future customer and any word of mouth advertising I would have given you. I have never experienced this at any other restaurant...

My partner & I tried this place as takeaway last night,he brought it home it smelled so delicious! The karage chicken was crispy, jucy and tasty! GENEROUS PORTIONS! The deep fried gyoza were delicious and crispy. The steam pork buns are the big ones! THE BIG ONES! for that price😍 And then there's the ramen...for just under $15 Tonkosu ramen fukuoka style is the best ramen we've had in cairns! VERY generous portions both with the meat and the garnishes! The noodle im not sure if homemade? was the best I've ever had ,not gluggy or under cooked ,JUST COMPLETE PERFECTION😍🤤 AND THE BROTH WAS ABSOULTELY TO DIE FOR! DELICIOUS, HEARTY ,FLAVOURFUL AND SO FULLFILLING! Plus my partner said when he went in there the staff were super friendly and kind! We'll definitely be regulars...
