LECHON HOUSE FILIPINO CUISINE — Restaurant in Queensland

I've learned about the Lechon House when I attended the recent Barrio Fiesta event at Esplanade, Cairns. I was a bit dissapointed because Lechon and pork knuckle were sold out 😅. I got the grilled chicken instead, it was flavourful and good. Also got the biko while waiting for my order. Biko was not too sweet, just my liking ❤️. I got their business card and planned a trip to their Earlville business location. Today, with my whole family we made it to Earlville shopping centre. Ordered 1/2 kilo pork crackling because there's no lechon in the house when we arrived, a large pork knuckle, pork sisig and their traditional halo-halo. Food were good, decent serving amount, the food I ordered was enough for 4 people (2 adults, 2 children), I thought we could bring some home 😅 but no it's all gone. We enjoyed the food and will definitely be back for the lechon. Hopefully next time we will be lucky to try the lechon. I recommend you visit the place if you're craving filipino cuisine. There's more food to try and to enjoy with family...

We came to Cairns just for a holiday all the way from Darwin and Gold Coast. After spending the whole morning at Green Island, we were so hungry and we were craving for Filipino food. We googled and came across this shop and saw great reviews and it didn’t disappoint. We ordered 1kg of lechon belly, dinugoan, bulalo, and pork bbq! We also ordered buko halohalo and oh my gosh! Everything is delicious! Their lechon belly is just like how it is in Cebu! Hurot tanan among pagkaon! And it was just 4 of us! Salamat kuya for accommodating us!...

Unassuming little Filipino takeaway tucked in a corner of a shopping centre food court.

The service was barely average, the menu printed in tiny font (I had to squint at it from inches away to read), but the food makes up for all of that.

The sisig was great, just wish there was more of it in a serving.

Grilled chicken is also great, haven't tried anything bad yet, after several visits. That crispy pork hock looks really great too, that's going to be next on my list of dishes to try☺️
