Update: FYI if you pay via card in-store, there is a 1.621% card surcharge. ** Masala Hut in Chinchilla, located in the Drakes shoppe precinct, offers locals and visitors a modern Western twist on Indian cuisine. The restaurant features dine-in options with table service, as well as an online ordering system for convenient 30-minute pickups. Having tried several dishes, I highly recommend ordering naan or rice to complement the curries, as the sauces are delicious. From the sweet Mango Curry to the rich and buttery Butter Curry, and the sour yet slightly spicy Vindaloo, there is a variety of flavours to satisfy most palates. A fantastic dining experience!

My experience at this place was extremely disappointing due to their unacceptable behavior. I cannot recommend visiting this restaurants. I ordered Chilli naan, but unfortunately, it was served badly burnt after a 30-minute wait. When I brought this to the attention of the owner, her response was shockingly rude, stating that she didn't care about the customer and advised me not to return. Such disregard for customers is deeply disappointing and not something I would expect from any reputable establishment.

This was a first time experience for me. My daughter and I decided to have dinner here when I was visiting her at Chinchilla. I have never had Indian cuisine before and this place has made me appreciate it. Their food is absolutely fantastic 🤩. This place is a must do if you're ever in Chinchilla.

terrible experience, dined in and got told we would have our order taken in a second, at least 20 minutes later he was still serving other people walking in for take away and getting their meal. had to walk up and order and got told he hasn't had a chance to get to us. about 20 minutes after ordering we got half of our food and got told the rice would be out in a second. the man behind the counter was talking to a group of people who were dining in and after waiting half an hour I had to go up and remind him we were waiting for our rice, ordered 2 rice and inly got 1 and he went to charge me for the 2. I ended up just eating my curry and naan because it was going cold, I'm assuming he didn't really care as they were closing the next day for the holidays. overall we were in there for over 2 hours and there were a total of 4 tables dining in. well over priced for what you actually get, the curry I payed $20 looked like something on a kids menu. overall it was just pure rubbish wont be going...

Today I booked a table for two online around 6pm. Restaurant had a relaxed ambiance with wafting smells of spices. We ordered our drinks first then we’re told there was a missing ingredient for the lassi drinks so had to have LLBitters instead. That was disappointing. Then we ordered the banquet which all the items listed in the menu were not given to us. The food came out and we were expecting good authentic Indian cuisine. It wasn’t at all, very basic and plain flavours with hardly any accompaniments. We are use to REAL Authentic Indian. And when a restaurant dosnt have the ingredients to make you what you want, really you should be given a replacement for free! The newbie that served us was pleasant but probably needs more training and knowledge about the food she’s serving. Overall was good to try but probably won’t be back. Thanks Masala...
