Mossman Thai Cuisine — Restaurant in Queensland

Claims to be open until 3:00. We arrived at 2:15 and were told that we could only have takeaway. We said fine since the reviews raved about the food and figured that we could eat outside. I had the salt & pepper calamari and wife had a tofu salad. Both were the definition of MEH AND my “calamari” had a piece of plastic embedded into it (see photo). That’s what happens when you serve reconstitued food that may or not be 100% what they claim.

The people working there couldn’t wait to get out of there and acted like it. At 2:45 they took off like their pants were on fire. On the way out she asked me if everything was ok, I told her about the plastic, she gave me a smile and a quick sorry...

Great tasting, great value Thai. Service is great and staff are very polite and friendly. Have ordered takeaway on two occasions, now I'm living out this way and can highly recommend. Love the spring rolls, have tried both the vegetarian and prawn and both are great. In terms of mains, I can highly recommend the duck curry with lychees and the jungle curry. Amazing food! Couldn't fault it.. we had to try a little bit of everything and enjoyed it all they had some amazing specials too!
