I really don’t like to leave bad reviews but I just wanted to share my experience last weekend at this restaurant. Me and my partner were left really disappointed, we were treating ourselves for our anniversary and the food did not live up to expectations. I ordered chicken souvlaki ($25.50), the portion was much smaller than shown on the menu photo. Three tiny chicken skewers, 2 small triangles of pitta bread and oven chips with the smallest bit of seasoning. Even the tzatziki pot had literally one teaspoon of dip in it. I questioned the size of the portion, which was more like a kids meal, and was told by the waiter ‘we now only give half the amount of pitta as we throw too much away’. As it was falsely advertised, I asked if I could have the amount shown in the photos and was told I’d have to pay extra. I don’t understand how any adult would be full from this portion of food, and at that price I would not expect to leave the restaurant still hungry. It did not feel like authentic Greek food and I would encourage you to go elsewhere if that is what you are...
Read more⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Visiting Cairns from Perth, I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Mykonos Grill and Yiros Bar—and what a standout experience it was! From the moment I walked in, the warm ambiance and inviting aromas promised something special, and the team delivered beyond expectations.
The food was a celebration of authentic Greek flavors, beautifully presented and bursting with freshness. Every bite felt like a culinary journey through the Mediterranean. A heartfelt thank you to Chef Nish, whose passion and attention to detail truly elevated the meal—he went above and beyond to tailor dishes to my taste, and I couldn’t be more grateful.
Equally impressive was the service. Ema looked after my table with such grace and attentiveness, ensuring everything was perfect from start to finish. Her genuine hospitality made the evening feel personal and memorable.
I’ll be returning again tomorrow for dinner, and I already know it’ll be another highlight of my trip. If you’re in Cairns, Mykonos Grill and Yiros Bar is an absolute must-visit....
Read moreMy friends food was lovely but I didn’t like how they treated me. I ordered just chips for $6 because my friends didn’t tell me we were going out for dinner, they just said we are going to the markets.
The portion was tiny, even for the price. When I asked about what sauce was free (because apparently sauce costs money over here whereas in the UK it’s free and complimentary) I got a confused reaction from the waitress. Suddenly 2 other staff come over and stood over our table when I tried to explain what I meant. Was a bit intimidating and didn’t make me feel welcome.
Lastly, when I went to pay they tried to charge me $12 for the chips when they had a menu next to them clearly saying $6
Overall I don’t trust that place and the vibes were off for me. Personally didn’t have a good experience so won’t be...
