I went to Nandos today for a takeaway dinner and was extremely disappointed at the staff working there. I ordered online initially, which i was told that it didnt go through and when i approached one of the team members to ask her if she could just serve me at the counter instead, she rudely refused and told me that it was apparently "easier" to do it online. So I waited for someone else to serve me at the counter so i could use my discount. The second lady that served me initially gave me the wrong discount even when i showed her my id card, in which i had to correct her for me to pay the right amount.
After finally receiving my food about half an hour after my second time ordering, i went home and realised that they forgot to include some of my food. Therefore, i had to drive all the way back to the store to complain to them about the inconvenience they had caused me, in which i was confronted by an ignorant team member who slid my missing food towards me and walked away. To this, i explicitly told the man working there that they had to do better in terms of their service and he just shrugged and ungenuinely apologised to me by saying "it was our bad".

Read moreThis Nando’s keeps getting worse and worse. First thing we noticed was how many uncleared tables there were and how much food was on the floor!! Disgusting. No option to order food at the counter anymore and staff were extremely rude when trying to (no signs to say otherwise. Due to allergies I prefer to ask questions and order direct since apps don’t have the detail required. Also not everyone like ordering online - I know my parents will never come back here because of this).
Once the food came out the chicken was over cooked, crispy and dry. No amount of sauce slathered over the top could cover that up.
No longer do tap water as well which is despicable. Might need to look into this one as pretty sure that’s illegal at licensed venues.
This place is getting worse and worse. We used to come here more than once a week and now you’d be lucky to find us here bi annually.
There is less options and the quality seems to be getting worse as the prices rise. At least in the past the quality of the food matched the price, now we might as well eat at a nice restaurant for the same cost and better atmosphere and food.

Just ordered lunch. A new lady was getting trained. I told her I needed to be sure I got gluten free. She asked her trainer for help. They took my order, then she asked her trainer "what do we need to do about gluten free?". He said "oh you don't need to worry about that. I think that's just like bread and stuff, we don't have that".
I tried explaining and asking about cross contamination or ingredients and he dismissed the idea and said "nah, everything is done separately".
I asked to see their allergen sheet, which I've looked at in the past, he refused and said "nah, it's out of date, I won't rely on that".
It was clear he wasn't willing to help me, so I relied on what I'd been told in the past by more helpful Nando's staff and ordered some safe food.
Then after I'd paid, he said "just asking, I'm not really sure what gluten is, is it in potatoes?".
When somebody tells you they have a food allergy, don't just dismiss their concerns, especially if you clearly don't know the answer, ask someone who does know. And if you don't know what an allegen is,...
