Small, rustic ambience cafe cum industrial unit. Comfortable, good knowledgeable service

Much of the coffee is raised freshly on site - optimum age is about 2 weeks after roasting. They tell me they dispose of older coffee

Banana cake was moist and delicious

I had a cortado/piccolo for maximum coffee tasting exercise. This was the excellent 'house' beans

I then tried an expresso of the 'smooth sailing' very nice. I bought a kilo of the beans to take away.

Thanks to Newell street cafe for providing a fun place for hosting coffee events sharing love to local coffee enthusiasts. It’s been amazing to see people coming through the door every Friday talking about coffee here slowly becoming a little cairns coffee community.

Melbournian in Cairns for a couple months for work. Saw this hisper vibe place so expected it to be good, disappointed by the coffees bitterness. Also a bit confused by iced coffee in a regular sized cup, take away too...
