OBJ's Sports Bar — Restaurant in Queensland

First time here and probably the last. Didn't even get to have a meal because of the stuff up with my order. The service was poor, and the bigger lady behind the counter had zero urgency to put orders through.

Ordered a philly cheesesteak with no onion, capsicum or pepper. Comes out with onion and capsicum on it. They take it back, and a 'fresh' one comes out, and it's still got onion on it, and I can also see a capsicum or two on there.

At that time, I also asked what the sauce is that's on there as it looked like some kind of curry and isn't what is advertised on their menu. I am then told that this sauce and the onion are made together and come with the philly cheesesteak and that I can't have no onion because of this. I told the bloke that the onion situation should have been explained at the start when I ordered my meal, and this curry sauce stuff isn't even mentioned on the menu.

A philly cheesesteak needs the meat and the cheese sauce only, not this curry looking sauce added to it.

Got a refund and left. I am extremely disappointed with it all as I had high hopes and expectations.

On a side note, they also had a patron inside drinking piss and leave their poor pup outside, tied up, while it was howling and barking, going berserk, which frustrated everyone who was...

I read some of the reviews in here and thought I would give it s go because it was convenient at the time. I am glad that I wasn't swayed by negative comments. We rocked up at 5 and were the only ones there. The service was fantastic, the process was explained and we proceeded to any table we would like and could order from our phone and pay from the table . I love this feature I must say No sooner had we lodged our order, the drinks arrived. Followed by entrees of Jalepeno poppers and onion rings. Both were really good portion sizes and were tasty. I recommend the blue cheese sauce. Mains of Chiritzo and prawn pizza and a foot long chilli dog. Deserts were fabulous as well... I mean ... if you sre going to go out and have a feast, you may as well make the most of it. 😁 Overall.... was a great meal at good prices. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Visited here a few times while in Townsville for work and, honestly, it’s a ripper. Its located just a 5 min walk, or 10 min stagger from the footy stadium. After a Cowboys win this place goes off like a frog in a sock — after a loss it’s a bit more “quiet reflection with a schnitty,” but still a good time either way.

The feed’s unreal and bang-on for value. They’ve even got this gourmet hot dog challenge — finish it in 20 minutes and it’s free. I tried. I failed. The dog won. Worth every bite and every bit of shame.

Bar’s roomy, heaps of TVs (one big enough to double as a drive in movie), pool tables, and cold beer flowing faster than a North Queensland wet season. Best bit? There’s a games arcade— chuck the kids in there and grab yourself some peace, quiet, and a pint.

Cracking atmosphere, great crew, and easily one of the best spots in Townsville to celebrate (or drown your footy sorrows)....
