Just like others, my pie was full of jelly cornstarch/water mixture. The chunks were super dry and very hard to chew. The pastry wasn’t even cooked. I tried really hard to like it just to support a small business but I ended up binning it. The guy serving me was nice but the store itself seemed quite gross and old. I understand it’s Aussie chic but the layer of dust on the top was a little worrying.

I bought two chunky steak pies. Unfortunately, there were only a couple of pieces of steak in both pies. The rest was this very unappealing brown glutinous mess. This is the second or third time, and very last time I will be buying pies from there. The pies are just not worth the $6.50.

Every time I decide to give this place another go I end up regretting it. The pies here are inedible - I've tried them twice and binned them both times.

I had a custard tart one time that was delicious, but 2 others since then were overcooked and so hard they hurt my teeth to bite into. Same thing with the caramel tarts. The vanilla slice I got once, the pastry was almost black.

Only thing that's consistently good is the bottled drinks lol.

Think I need to stop giving them chances and just stick to woolies next door. The service is always lovely, but the food just isn't good. Sucks because this is the only bakery in the area too. If they had any competition I doubt they'd have so...

From the other reviews, it's apparent changes were made in the past few years, evidently not for the better. My partner showed me the innards of his potato top pie and it was, no joke, mostly just this translucent gloop that's likely a cornstarch/water filler mix. A total waste of $6 or however much it cost, as it went into the bin after one bite. The pie also had the appearance of sitting there for a long time, as the outside had formed a rock solid crust (I'm talking about the "meat"). ☹️ Pretty disappointing considering there aren't that many bakeries around.

Extra star because their...
