Absolutely appalling service given by the mid-aged lady at the pick up window and on the phone when ordering. We ordered over the phone to save time twice in the one week. On both occasions, we arrived and the food wasn’t ready when they said - in fact, 10-15 minutes after they said. When we approached the window after paying today, we assumed it was ready - having told it would be ready at 1pm and it was now 1.10pm. The impertinent lady at the window said, “I’ll call you when it’s ready darling,” in a derogatory tone. When we finally picked up our order, they failed to include the large chips we had ordered and attempted to blame me for making the order wrong (the order was checked multiple times over the phone although the person making the order on the phone didn’t even appear to be in the shop and there appeared to be a language barrier with her - she didn’t understand what a ‘Sprite’ is nor a small water proceeding to order us a large water and not understanding “600ml,” - offshore admin? Worst of all, the woman at the collect food counter then said rudely, “You need to go back inside and pay for it, you didn’t pay for it - don’t just stand there and block the line,” - when I was clearly attempting to pick up the food they had got correctly. Disgraceful and horrendous service. This lady should not work in customer service whatsoever - not once we were rude to the staff despite their incompetence and complete and utter disrespect and poor customer service. We were very taken aback and will not...
Read moreBesides the fact we are locals of Noosa, we were quite disappointed & frustrated with how we were spoken to on Saturday night. We ordered food with the lady on the counter, she wasn’t overly happy but to finish off she was quite rude & said we needed to have face masks on. I asked how come rest of staff didn’t have them on also the other 9 people in store didn’t have them either and she said because they are cooking but she’s serving so she needs one & so did I. I told her not that it was her business but I actually didn’t need to wear one for medical reasons but thank you for her concern. She continued to tell the rest of the customers the same thing. The owners or managers need to make sure all staff are trained with up to date with Covid measures if they are going to be saying anything to customers & how to word it as they are giving out wrong information & not saying it in the right way, its not her job to be policing them. Also currently it states in QLD for hospitality you aren’t required to wear one anyway. No one once checked to see whether we had checked in nor whether we were eating in & were vaccinated which I would had thought would had been more the focus with the current measures.
I explained to the gentleman who gave us our food what had happened to the couple behind us being pretty annoyed also and showed him the Gov website so he was aware. He apologised & showed a lot of empathy towards...
Read moreWe’ve lived nearby for years and have eaten here more times than I can count because it’s close and convenient to walk to with small kids. But every single time, it’s been disappointing. Dry chips, oily, tasteless food, and seafood that’s either rubbery or hard as rocks.
Even our friends and family and visitors joke about how they’ll never come back if we suggest fish and chips here again. It’s become a running joke, and not in a good way. This week, the calamari was slightly better than usual (no rubber bands inside this time), but still damp, thin, squashed, oily, and flavourless. The crumbed scallops were tiny, dry, and inedible. And when even the kids refuse to eat their nuggets or chips, you know it’s bad.
It feels like they’re relying on tourist foot traffic dollars rather than trying to make genuinely good food, which is such a shame because it’s a beautiful spot that deserves better, in a region known for it’s seafood!?
If you’re nearby, do yourself a favour and walk the extra hundred metres to...
