We had been here regularly, but today experience was terrible. When we entered, we asked if we could sit at the cushion area, but was told by the waitress that she prefer us to sit at the bar. Then, I asked her again that we would like to sit at the cushion areas, but she repeatedly said she PREFER us to sit at the bar. At that point of time, only one seat was occupied and I though probably it is for 2 or more patron. However, after that, she allowed a guest of two to sit there, and another waiter served a walk in guest of two and ask where do they prefer to sit and was ushered to the cushion area. Back in the past, when it was busy, we can even wait for the seat at the cushion area to be vacant, but I am not sure what's wrong today. Is it because we are being profiled. I tried to be understanding because it is because of booking or the number of pax, but after seeing two groups of customers after us, the entire experience is ruin. Working In the hospitality industry, we all know dining in a restaurant is more than just the food, it is about the entire experience and going for the extra mile. Worst, being a table service restaurant, this service is...

My younger sibling and cousin (Both 18, both indigenous) were very upset with the the staffs today. Both of them were accused of eating and placing the plates back on the sushi train, out of all the other customers in the shop they assumed it was them. The staffs were continually accusing them and pointing at the cameras stating they have it on camera, my brother who was confused asked to show them the footage but they kept interrupting him and wouldn’t let him explain as their food was ordered which means the staff would just pass the plates over kitchen. So they waited as the staff went to “check the cameras”. One staff returned and pretended like nothing happened. Embarrassed about the whole situation my brother and cousin paid for their food and left, another customer sitting next to them with her son was confused as why the staff were accusing them. I don’t want to make it about racism when it’s just bad behaviour. Very disgusted by the staffs and how...

Struggling sushi train outlet

S16°54.802' E145°45.857' Between tons of motels and apartments on Sheridan Street, this branch of Sushi Train was anonymous. The same for the interior: bar of booths. A bottle shop is next door for BYO.

Earlier in the day in September 2018, staff told us the restaurant would remain open until 11pm, but upon arrival, it closed at 9pm. This had of big influence on the choice & quality of the food on the belt when we entered the restaurant at 8pm. With the leftovers on the belt, we ordered sushi from the menu. The quality of the sushi did not impress our taste buds. Freshness was clearly missing. Meanwhile staff started cleaning the kitchen and restaurant and giving us the signal of last order. This was not a relaxed and enjoyable dinner.

Shame on you Sushi Train, one very disappointed customer! My son used our VIP points to buy an inflatable sushi train lilo last week on Sunday and it was faulty, it came with a hole in it out of the box. We came into the shop tonight for dinner and I told one of your staff what happend and asked of we could please use our 96 VIP points earned to get a sushi train toy worth 100 points. We were only 4 points short, considering the last toy we got didn’t work, it would have been nice to be give 6 points we needed to get the train. But the staff member called the owner and we were told the answer was NO. Very disappointing, we come in at least twice or three times a week. You have lost two loyal customers. Bad service, and you can bet I will tell my family and friends about my experience and the rude service.
