NANYA — Restaurant in Renmark

I'm not sure what this place is supposed to be and I'm not sure if they know either. We were seated in a very swanky, modern, beautiful dining room which started to set the tone, however, we were told to order drinks at the bar and food was table service? So, I had to go stand in line at the bar to order drinks which took quite a while to get served, yet, it was table service for food? I barely had enough time to get our drinks and look at the menu before they came to the table to take our orders. To be honest, we would have got another couple rounds if we didn't have to leave the table and our conversation. The cocktails were great and the Thai Beef Salad was great, the waitress was lovely but it felt like a low level pub service in a high priced restaurant. We decided to leave straight after dinner and one round....but we did have to line up again at the bar to pay (haha). While working away in Ren Mark, I had the opportunity to stay in the hotel next-door and eat at NANYA twice. The service was super friendly and everyone made me feel welcome.

The space is well renovated, not sure how long ago they did the most recent renovation, but the entire hotel is very well appointed. NANYA is a fancy version of the hotel bar dining next door and if you’re looking for something a little nicer than regular pub food definitely worth a try.

I had the beef rib, which is a slow cook cooked ribeye with the eye fillet removed, and the previous week had a special porterhouse, which was also fantastic. The group had other food such as the fish and chips and that was also great.

The bar in NANYA has a good variety of beer on tap and wine in both regular and double paws, all were reasonably priced. My beef short rib $41 and two glasses of wine $14.50 each (for a large glass) total $70, which was...

there was a lot of issues with our night, first off we ordered the fruit tingle cocktaik, instead of letting us know that they had run out of lemonade instead they just put soda water in the drink. When we approached a waitress to tell them, the bartender came to our table and told us that they were out of Lemonade so they use soda water instead, we asked them why they didn’t tell us this?. Second thing for one of the orders we ordered a half serve of chicken Parmy with plain gravy when the meal was served with no parmy on the top we asked the waitress if we could get with the parmy on top.
