I went to get a much needed coffee with a voucher from Youi Insurance. The young shop assistant asked me to scan the voucher on my phone on the scanner. It wouldn’t work. I asked if she could enter the barcode numbers manually. She apologised and said no. She was trying very hard to help. She asked if I could try to scan it again and the second time it sounded like it scanned to myself and to the shop assistant, but it wouldn’t come up on the till display. It said on my phone it had scanned. The young girl called her boss over and explained in detail exactly what happened. Saying that my voucher had scanned but didn’t display. The boss asked me to scan it again. I did as I was asked and it said it had already been used. I said no it scanned but didn’t display I have never used it before and the shop assistant agreed. The boss wouldn’t listen and I could see that she was very unreasonable so I said don’t worry about it and I won’t be back. NEVER will I EVER return to Jamaica Blue no matter how desperate I am for a coffee. The boss at the time had no skills in management and is doing the business...

A very hurried, busy girl served me long black in a cracked cup. I didn’t notice it until I’d drunk almost half of it, mistaking it for caffeine markings! When I saw one of the girls who served me and asked her what she was going to do about it, she said it was her 1st day at work, she didn’t look into the cup, but she’d throw it away immediately.
Please train your crew to place coffee and cake without chucking them on the table. It’s common practice in the hospitality business to be less hurriedly and more cautious in serving. We pay you premium price and we expect good...
