Update to response from restaurant: Yes, the photo shows a $23 curry. That tiny bowl goes for $23. Rice costs extra. This is abusive and when I asked politely, whether this was the real size of the dish, you laughed at me and walked away. And yes, you tried to charge more. We had curries, rice and papadums. You charged $69.36. The real price was $64.00 and that's what we payed. Check it in your register, Tuesday 27 Feb 2024.

Trying to discredit my comment instead of working on your customer service is just absolutely ridiculous and yet another sign of total lack of professionalism.

Original comment: It's abusive pricing, it's standard take away place charging gourmet prices. The food is nothing special completely average. The super expensive curries come without rice and than a small vegetarian curry with rice ends up being $26. 2 dishes came without sauces... on top of this unpleasant experience at the end they even tried to charge us more for the food than written on the menu...

When we questioned the waiter, he started to laugh at us and made fun of it.

Very bad place! Hopefully someone opens a nice Indian restaurant...

Today was my first time at Holy Cow Indian Cuisine in Sanctuary Point. We were celebrating our Anniversary there and it will absolutely be the last time too. I read the reviews both positive and negative prior to my visit but wanted to try it out for myself anyway. Can i say I was very startled with the portion of your curry bowl dishes (butter chicken $23 and dakai lamb $25) coming in toddler size bowls like come on man the price is ridiculously expensive as it is yet doesn't match the portions you serve. I thoroughly enjoyed the Samosas however the overall experience with all the dishes ordered (egg fried rice, cheese and garlic naans) was a disappointment in itself. It was as if you reheated the dishes in the microwave or on the stove and served them to us. Don't reply with your copy and paste responses apologising to customers disappointment from their experience at your restaurant instead step up, make a positive change...

We were in Jervis Bay for a weekend family getaway and were craving some proper Indian food—we found Holy Cow Indian Cuisine in Sanctuary Point! From the moment we walked in, the team made us feel right at home. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about our experience. The place has a cosy, welcoming vibe—perfect after a long day at the beach. We ordered a mix of curries, naan, and starters to share, and every dish was spot on. The butter chicken was rich and creamy, the lamb rogan josh had amazing depth of flavour, and the vegetable samosas were crispy and full of spice. Even kids loved it—and that says a lot! It’s rare to find authentic Indian flavours this good outside the city. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. We’ll be back next time we’re down the coast....

I have no idea how this restaurant got rating of 4 I guess for the service yes but for the food Hell a big NO. We ordered Vegetarian food which were Dhal Tadka and we just got boiled Lentils with zero favour somehow had onions but it still didn't heighten the taste. The Potato and Eggplant curry I seriously got confused if it was carrots or potatoes as it was bright orange in color and had a weird texture. Both dish lacked flavor or taste. The naan another confusion what ordered was a Cheese and Garlic naan and I got a pancake looking naan😟 Very disappointed with the food. People who over rated this restaurant seems like haven’t eaten a decent Indian dish before cause if they had this place will be rated as 1.0 for food. The chef seriously needs cooking skills regarding taste and favor.
