Update to response from restaurant: Yes, the photo shows a $23 curry. That tiny bowl goes for $23. Rice costs extra. This is abusive and when I asked politely, whether this was the real size of the dish, you laughed at me and walked away. And yes, you tried to charge more. We had curries, rice and papadums. You charged $69.36. The real price was $64.00 and that's what we payed. Check it in your register, Tuesday 27 Feb 2024.
Trying to discredit my comment instead of working on your customer service is just absolutely ridiculous and yet another sign of total lack of professionalism.
Original comment: It's abusive pricing, it's standard take away place charging gourmet prices. The food is nothing special completely average. The super expensive curries come without rice and than a small vegetarian curry with rice ends up being $26. 2 dishes came without sauces... on top of this unpleasant experience at the end they even tried to charge us more for the food than written on the menu...
When we questioned the waiter, he started to laugh at us and made fun of it.
Very bad place! Hopefully someone opens a nice Indian restaurant...
Read moreToday was my first time at Holy Cow Indian Cuisine in Sanctuary Point. We were celebrating our Anniversary there and it will absolutely be the last time too. I read the reviews both positive and negative prior to my visit but wanted to try it out for myself anyway. Can i say I was very startled with the portion of your curry bowl dishes (butter chicken $23 and dakai lamb $25) coming in toddler size bowls like come on man the price is ridiculously expensive as it is yet doesn't match the portions you serve. I thoroughly enjoyed the Samosas however the overall experience with all the dishes ordered (egg fried rice, cheese and garlic naans) was a disappointment in itself. It was as if you reheated the dishes in the microwave or on the stove and served them to us. Don't reply with your copy and paste responses apologising to customers disappointment from their experience at your restaurant instead step up, make a positive change...
Read moreWe were in Jervis Bay for a weekend family getaway and were craving some proper Indian foodâwe found Holy Cow Indian Cuisine in Sanctuary Point! From the moment we walked in, the team made us feel right at home. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about our experience. The place has a cosy, welcoming vibeâperfect after a long day at the beach. We ordered a mix of curries, naan, and starters to share, and every dish was spot on. The butter chicken was rich and creamy, the lamb rogan josh had amazing depth of flavour, and the vegetable samosas were crispy and full of spice. Even kids loved itâand that says a lot! Itâs rare to find authentic Indian flavours this good outside the city. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. Weâll be back next time weâre down the coast....
