Sanctuary Point Seafood Take Away — Restaurant in Sanctuary Point

We bought the Sydney rock oysters and cooked fresh prawns, and we walked back a fair ways home with some ice on them ( we asked for some ice, and they kindly provided) - And the oysters and prawns though a little soggy which was fault on our part due to the long walk. We simply popped them in the fridge for an hour, and they were still beautiful and delicious to eat for a dinner side snack! which speaks volumes for their freshness and quality. And I love my seafood and have had a lot of it in my life 😅 so I was super impressed! it was definitely worth the 8km walk 👏😄.

We did also get calamari and chips these where a great portion size for the prise, but not the best we have had before unfortunately, the batter was a little too thick and gummy for our personal taste. I'm not sure if they have a crumbed version that perhaps may be better 🤔. Either way, they have many other options to try that we are keen to still taste, and again, their fresh seafood is fantastic and a must if that's what you're looking for 😌

Staff were also friendly, which is always a plus in our books 😄....

Having grown up in take away shops most of my life and seeing my parents work their guts out I was taken aback seeing the 4 staff members sitting outfront eating and a sign saying something along the lines of 'due to busy time shop will be closed between 3 and 4 so staff can eat and restock'. I mean never in my 56 years have I seen this why do 4 people need a break at the same time? How utterly lazy wanting customers, who are tourist and helping your economy, to come back when you're ready to serve them! They lost a big order for 10 people due to this. It's peak season people get it together 1 person have a break at a time. Wouldn't waste my time...

Went here for the first time today, the place was busy with young kids ordering hot chips. The place is nice and clean and full of all sorts of typical fast food fare, staff was friendly and service was fast. I got the beef gravy roll with chips meal, YUMMO!!! I will definitely go back again and try other stuff they have on offer, I'd drive here just for the hot chips, so nice and crispy but fluffy on the inside! Check it out yourself, you won't be...
