Village Takeaway — Restaurant in Sawtell

Me and my partner are staying near Sawtell for the holidays. We saw a decent sized crowd out the front and figured it was gonna be pretty good. The chef out the back looked like he was busy, but took the time to come out the front and apologised for the wait, to which I had no problem waiting, as the food looked like it'd be worth the wait. I bought the southside for myself and the fish and chips for my partner, eith a couple potato scallops to share between us. The fish batter was crispy, the fish was cooked really well. So weird what fish and chip shop doesn’t do a fish burger, Pluto pups or nuggets… so strange .. and when I asked if they did the server just blanked looked at me said no and pointed to the menu board very rude .. the price is honestly ridiculous $69 dollars for family size ships and 5 peice of fish …

And the family size ships honestly wouldn’t even come close the feeling a full family .. $12 for family size chips that’s not even family size ..

Absolutely rip off .. and I can’t even say it tasted amazing so it was worth the price it chips was hardly salted and not the best at all & fish was soo dry.

We were hungry but didn't want to pay a fortune so decided on the burgers at The Village takeaway at Sawtell. It was lunchtime so had a 20 minute wait but was it worth the wait!
