The deck boasts its views but the beach is completely blocked by trees. Without knowing it I'd say the cafe has been around for awhile and is trying to up their menu to match the hipster trends sweeping cafes these days. The tables and chairs function but don't have the style of a new place. Decor is secondary though to food. The menu sounds good but my corn cake with avo, roast tomato, poached egg, bacon, spinach and chutney was just okay. The chutney was pretty poor but worse is that it added nothing to the dish and diminished the flavour. I wonder if in the effort to be trendy flavour combinations took a back seat or worse yet they don't understand what works well with certain foods. The corn cake was the wrong flavour for classic breakfast items. Maybe a different chutney could have tied it all together. My juice tasted fresh and delicious.

We dined at 12:30 on a Sunday. There was a table available and we were served immediately. The menu was standard breakfast and lunch fare. The atmosphere was laid back and dogs were welcome. Looking out over the street to the park and ocean was nice. Our juices were very tasty and they arrived quickly. The food took about 20 minutes, but was hit and well cooked. My beautiful wife had the whiting, China’s and salad. The chips were excellent and the whiting was well cooked. The salad was appropriate for this meal. I had a beef burger and was a little alarmed when I saw it, wondering how to eat it without it going everywhere. I cut it in half and it stayed together nicely. It was delicious. It was honest food and fairly priced. I would happily return.

So we had lunch here today.. honestly quite disappointed.. didn't appear to be that busy and got told it would be a 30 min wait. So got the grilled barramundi burger but changed it up a bit.. so when it turned up, gr8 size fish but no cheese as ordered. Made a request for no sauce at all due to allergies, yet plate turns up with soy sauce under the chips. A simple bacon and eggs, poached. 1 piece of toast asked for spinach leaves as an extra, got charged a ridiculous amount for it and got next to nothing.. see picture... Wont be going back there will try other places first now...

The 1 star is for the food. The lack of stars is for the awful customer service. No amount of smiles or nice vibes from us could have turned our sour and grumpy waitress around. She was in a bad mood (we had no idea why) and really took it out on the customers. It wasn’t extremely busy. Our order wasn’t complicated. This was at around 11am on Friday 13/12. My sister’s drink (a can of Coke Zero) was plonked down on the table in an aggressive manner - can shoved inside a glass of ice, not opened. Food tasted good.

Customers aren’t mind readers. We don’t know why the waitress was in a bad mood. She shouldn’t be working in hospo or come to work if that’s how she’s going to treat people. Plenty of other places in Sunshine beach and Noosa where you can spend your money on simple uncomplicated cafe food and receive much better, friendlier service. Wouldn’t recommend The Deck for this reason. It’s a competitive market and for food and drink that you can get anywhere, I would suggest going...

Great location with plenty of space... But clearly there is no passion or interest by anyone who works here to make a half decent cafe. Food is just as you'd cook it at home hung over on a Sunday morning. Minimal effort but fills the gap. Coffee is just hot milk poured over an espresso shot with a $5 price tag, no effort to attempt to make it look nice. On top of that horrible service. I ordered 2 coffee's and 2 meals. Having noticed the amount I was charged was below what it should be by a meal, I proceeded to ask the staff member who took my order if the 2nd meal was on the order, they said yes (didn't bother to check the order). SURPRISE! The meal, wasn't on the order... So when we asked what appeared to be the chef or/and manager, he was hostile to our questions. Our exchange ultimately ended in him say, I'm not going to make the meal. Ultimately, don't waste your time or money. Prices are comparable with other cafes which actually offer a far...

My mother and I had breastfast this morning and had he pancakes, avo toast and corn fritters. The food coffee and juice was very nice maybe a tiny bit expensive but was a very nice breakfast. only issue was one of the fritters was not cooked completely in the middle which could happen to anyone.

We let the staff know and they offered to cook a new one immediately which we didnt want as we had pretty much finished eating and needed to get going. We were not after a refund or anything just wanted to give some feed back.

The Owner/chef came out was extremely apologetic offered a full refund on the meal plus free coffee for all of us or anything else off the menu for take away. We took him up on a chai latte, baby chino and a muffin (which was also very nice). The issue was handled very quickly and well we will definitely be back again when in the area. The Staff at the Jam up the road could learn a thing or...
