We were very disappointed with the CEO & CLUB MANAGEMENTS DECISION yesterday when when we all rocked up for the ADVERTISED ‘on the WEBSITE ‘TUESDAY STEAK DAY SPECIAL’ only to be informed by their staff that NO Management’s CANCELLED that it’s now NORMAL PRICE AS PER THE MENU..SHOCKED we enquired how come when this is why we came as per THEIR ADVERT & they said because of school holidays. We have as MEMBERS LOCALS & WITH GUESTS have supported the COOLUM SURF CLUB over decades & this is the 1st time we can recall such an inconsistency occurring in what has been their ‘SPECIALS DAY’ eg Steak Tuesday Parmis Thursday always offered & delivered irrespective of ALL School Holidays . How about tge MEMBERS & THE LOCALS who have & do SUPPORT YOU COOLUM SURF CLUB year in & year out be affected by your sudden change of heart in your ‘SPECIALS OFFERS BISTRO DAYS’ ⁉️⁉️⁉️ WE were very disappointed & blindsided by your decision to abandon US for absolutely NO VALID or ACCEPTABLE REASON that we could consider was worthy of that action.

We give our gratitude compliments & appreciation to the Chef & Bistro staff who presented us with delish quality NON SPECIAL DAY PRICED steaks & fish meals which were probably up there with the best so far we’ve ever eaten including the ACTUAL fresh plentiful salad ingredients accompanying the steak & fish & we asked a staff member to please pass on for our compliments to those staff responsible in the bistro kitchen….THANK YOU 🙏 To the Friendly Informative Happy Reception Staffs Greetings to the Bistro Floor Staff/Attendants to the Bar Staff (whom we busy with MC 🍺 😋) ALL BRILLIANT…THANK YOU 🙏 ALL OF YOU individually & collectively MADE OUR DAY more palatable 👍👏 Now..IF ONLY THE BOARD THE CEO THE MANAGEMENT COULD EQUATE THAT LEVEL OF EXCELLENCE IN THEIR DECISION MAKING YOU WOULD BE A COHESIVE TEAM & WE WOULDNT HAVE TO WRITE THIS GROUP COMPLAINT & RATE THEM 2 STAR IN...

Was a disappointing experience today when I visited. Had to play a silly follow the arrows game at the door and then from the moment we got there it was uncomfortable. Busy or not, customer service matters. We asked one lady about some tables becoming empty and she was quite curt, telling me to go find the woman inside who was in charge of the bookings.

No guidance, no instructions on where to go.

I stood at the bar for 5 minutes being ignored and then saw the lady who had been curt outside. Where I said?

Over there she barks. I told her she could have been politer, and we decided to leave. I got my kids and spent my money elsewhere.

Update 29/08/2021 - After the response received. Its hard on everyone, however that does not give anyone an excuse to treat people poorly. It seems you've decided to do a lot of finger pointing here instead of doing what you can to resolve the issue.

That speaks volumes. Sometimes things don't work out, however working with your unhappy clients towards a positive outcome is much better than finger pointing, running people down and making the experience even worse. I am a google reviewer with 1.8 Million views. I've been in business for myself for 23 years and I know what good customer service is. You've now proven twice that you do not. Review reduced...

The outlook of the club is lovely! A real gem of a view over Coolum Beach, the sand and surf outside large glass floor to ceiling windows. There is another outdoor balcony with tables and chairs for meals and enjoying a drink. There is entertainement on Friday and Saturday nights and often on a Sunday afternoon too. This provides a great atmosphere. Plenty of TV screens for sport viewing and a TAB.

The food menu is typical pub dishes- not much in the way of seafood though. I had one of the only dishes the Seafood experience -at$52 it was a disappointment. The small pot of ceviche was over done with chili and inedible, No chips. No tartare sauce for the pieces of fish. No cocktail sauce for the two prawns. When I asked for some tartare sauce I was eventually given some Aioli! The salad was only one type of lettuce and sliced tomato. Calamari was soft, bland and undercooked and tasted of raw flour. One slither of lemon wedge was well used. We asked the waitress for a proper pepper grinder and she instructed us to get pepper at the servery and walked off with a look of disgust. My lunch partner had chicken curry - lots of chili again and mostly rice. He had for spoonfuls and left the rest. I have frequented this club many times and have had better...
