Da Cafe Time — Restaurant in Sunshine Coast Regional

After reading some of the reviews I decided to come in and give this place a go and see what the coffee and service are like. The lady who served me was nice and polite and she made an me excellent coffee! Definitely much better than I was expecting as I remember coming here once about 3 years ago and it wasn't great. The coffee today was lovely and smooth, not bitter or burnt at all and the milk was very nicely textured. I didn't try any food because I wasn't hungry, however I did see a Bahn Mi go out to another customer and it looked pretty good. Overall the place inside is ok but could use a bit of a make over/tidy up to get it looking really comfortable and cozy. The fish tank is cool though. Atmosphere rating is 4/5 stars because the music was up too loud. If you're interested in having a conversation with someone or reading something, the music volume will definitely be a problem. I had the BBQ Pork Banh Mi. I'll start with the positives - Bread was good, pickled carrot had a good tang and plenty of chilli, coriander and the Ice tea was tasty. Unfortunately the pork was dry, no spring onion or pickle daikon, the Pate was spread too thin and the mayo was more like aioli than traditional Vietnamese mayo for a Banh Mi. It just felt a bit westernised and over complicated (whats with the mayo squiggle). I will return as I can see that they care and have gone over and above to try and make this work but have just missed the mark. Please go more traditional as people on the coast are crying out for a traditional Banh Mi to blow our socks off not a bastardised version that is simply ok as there are plenty of...

Saw the lady wants a free stuff on other day at the shop ( just sat next to them) as she said she a regular customer there so no way she pay for the extra things she have asked 🤐 and saw her negative review, how funny world we are now. I feel so sorry for a nice business and Tina was so nice to her bad attitude at that time. I'm a regular customer in this shop too since they opened and I would happy to pay whatever I ask for amazing food and service, Tina and her staff are doing the best service every single time when me and my familly visit.
