And coming up with technology that prevents you from getting the good old freeby. Live pizza tracker seems exciting....... can't get a freeby for complaining it took to long as it is tracked. It's so fun to see the picture of your pizza on the pizza tracker...... can't get a freeby by complaining there was little or missing toppings (that were there everyone has done it)cause there's a picture to prove the customer isn't always right. Gps delivery tracking so much fun to watch your pizza move along the map with a pic of the delivery person and useless info about them.... can't get a freeby by saying they arrived cold or never arrived, it's all logged and used to make sure you are called out if you stretch the truth for a fair dinkum aussie freeby pizza. All ingredients arrive in store fully cooked and frozen.......... can't complain that the meat was raw or not cooked properly to get a freeby as tastless pre cooked ingredients to stop you getting a freeby is far more important than taste and quality and freshness. I placed an online order for delivery 2 hours in advance for 4 items. I get a call 10mins after the original delivery time from a girl saying it was an extra 20min wait, I explain that I am on my lunch break so unfortunately I canāt wait an extra 30mins from the original delivery time but the girl assured me it will arrive soon. I wait another 30mins (40mins past the delivery time) and get another phone call, when I answer I hear the girl say to another person āIām not talking to herā which was referring to me and then I get put on hold! I hang up and call the store and ask the man that now answered what I just heard and where is my order. I try to explain that i have now been waiting 40mins for a delivery I put in 2hrs in advance and ask where it is and all the man is doing is just repeating āyep yep yepā. After realising I am probably never getting my order and there is no attempt from the staff to communicate or remedy the situation i cancel my order. I am absolutely appalled at how this simple interaction was handled by the staff, you obviously need to get new staff who are actually able to perform their job. I will never order from the Beerwah store again and I am still waiting on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOrdered online 20 minutes before closing. Order went through, about 5 minutes later the tracking disappeared and could no longer access it. I had a feeling this might have been due to them cancelling the order, but I didn't receive a phone call or refund and every other Domino's store I've ordered from in the past have always fulfilled the order regardless if it was almost closed or not, so I optimistically just waited, hoping it was just an error with the tracking system.
After 35 minutes of waiting, I called the store for an update. A team member answered, abruptly telling me they were closed. I explained I had placed an order well before they closed and was calling for an update on it, he frantically tried to make excuses before handing the phone over to the manager who sheepishly mumbled into the phone that they only had one delivery driver for the store, who had gone home sick so they couldn't fulfill any orders and that I would receive a refund within 7 days.
I can only assume this was a fictitious excuse because they were too lazy to make another order and just wanted to close. Either way, they have ensured that I will never order...
