Golden Beach Tavern — Restaurant in Sunshine Coast Regional

I would never recommend any go to this place ever again. We went in at 6pm on Friday 28th June and had a booking for three people for dinner and Rosie tried to pot us on a table for 10-12 people and she walked away to help others out than we had to stand there for 3 minutes waiting for Someone to walk past to ask about the table and to have some menus and we saw her and asked about the table and he said no no this is your table you booked for 9 people and we said no we didn’t and than she stormed off and went to the front to look and then came back and yelled at us that we stuffed up the booking and then she said I guess you can have that table and then did not give us any menus or the general run down on where to order or anything like that we than had to go ask for some menus and then we order food while we where waiting for food we saw Rosie mop up a slipped drink on the back deck with a mop than she got a cloth and dipped it into the dirty mop bucket and wiped the table and then dipped the cloth back in the mop bucket and then wiped the baby chair down. Once we got our food that we paid $140.00 for Rib eye stakes they came out blue- for the median one Median rare- for the well done one we got them sent back to be cooked a bit more and than ate our food and got out of there as quickly as possible

I went to this Tavern with 3 others. When we were seated we were told there was a 30 minute wait. We had a chat and thought we would still have enough time as we were going to a show nearby. Even ordering straight away through the QR code it said 30 minute wait. After waiting an hour we ask one of the waiters to follow it up. He came back and said it was approx 10 minutes away. We said we didn't have time and wanted a refund. He was lovely and said he'd talk to the manager who at that moment was walking past. He hesitantly stopped her and she was very abrupt to him and turned to us and said what's the problem. She then turned it on to us saying we openly told people an hour and we clearly said no we wouldn't of stayed. She then said what do you want me to do about it. We said we would need a refund. She then tried to give it as take away and we said we couldn't. Very aggressively she stormed of to the kitchen where we witnesses her yelling at staff snatched the order down and then stormed of to the bar area. She then came back and very angrily gave us a refund and sarcastically said enjoy the show. Her name was Rosie and I would suggest that she either does not work on a busy night or in hospitality treating...

We arrived around 6pm on a Saturday night and it was busy, I suggest making a reservation if you want to eat here. It took a little while to get a table, but we were placed in the outside area that was screened and heated so it was quite cosy. The noise level was low and we could converse quite easily whilst we waited for our meal. The meal service was a little slow, around 25-30 minutes. Our share plates, that we requested as entrees, arrived about 30 seconds before our mains so we have a table full of food which was predominantly potatoes. The calamari on the menu didn’t say it came with chips but it did. Half of the plate was straight chips and I had ordered a side of wedges as an accompaniment to the calamari. If I had known the calamari came with chips I wouldn’t have ordered wedges, both of our mains had sides of chips as well so we had $99 worth of food and drinks which was 50% potato.
