Lawn espresso — Restaurant in Sunshine Coast Regional

Good for a first stop. Probably not another one. For the coffee heads, an old La marzocco Pb, standard anduino grinder and an "award winning" roaster that isn't in the the top 50 in Australia. Cafe won some award in 2019. Personally I hate platitudes of this sort from cafes so here's my unprofessional takeaway. Double espresso and flat white ordered. Double espresso was overdrawn and overtly acidic. No shot timing or unclean machine. Flat white was acidic and milk overcooked. May have just been a bad day with the humidity but as someone who actually really enjoys a good coffee, putting out signs with platitudes to get customers is just getting old, hence the reason for the vitriol. The cafe market is just oversaturated with this type of hyperbolic marketing and I for one am over it. I am sorry to the Lawn Espresso owner for my words, but when you have to now pay more than $5 for a decent coffee, it had better be as you claim or the market (that's right around the corner from you) is going to leave you...

Lawn espresso is a very special place with even more special and amazing people/staff. Not only has Kaye been a huge supporter and always shown interest in my journey but she has always been so kind and caring, as well as giving me work experience to help me in getting a job now that I have moved state. The staff at lawn are all so welcoming and kind, they always have a smile on their face, they never fail to spread the good vibes and not to forget make the BEST coffee! I am so grateful for the little lawn espresso team and all the joy and happiness they have brought myself and family over the years. I could not recommend this gorgeous place enough! Thank you a million times Kaye and your beautiful team, I know exactly where I’ll be going when I’m home for coffee and smiles...

They were the only coffee shop around still open until 3 pm, and I got there right on closing (same as another customer). The two ladies kindly opened back up and served us both without hesitation. I was on a massive drive back home and asked if they had a bathroom — they even let me use the staff toilet, which was a lifesaver! Exceptional customer service and genuine kindness. Their coffee was awesome too — the owner should be proud to have such great staff. Definitely...
