Lunch Thursday 24/11 with my partner...Went to order the Japanese Chicken dish on the Special menu...Sorry we've sold out, disappointed .Ordered the Roast, then surprised to see it arrive, a modest, 2 small pieces of potato, 4 slabs of flavourless beef and a watery gravy...called the waitress back, to speak about my concern...She tells me its actually an ok serve....I ask for a Supervisor, before they arrive, I have dialogue with the Executive Chef, it turns out... Who defends his offering, then tells me how "he doesn't come to work to be abused by people like me." We had more chat, me attempting to keep the topic about quality and portion size, him, issues with customers expressing themselves.....Sad man....next Supervisor turns up, I mentioned I'm a member of Cooroy RSL where a much better, bigger portion meal same $'s....she offered to 'fix' things but by then my appetite and desire to stay on had dissipated. Next I go to bar, to ask for a coffee while I wait for my partner to finish her meal. Staff directed me to the RSL Cafe, order coffee and wait for it there..Will they deliver it to my table? No, you wait for it......Nambour RSL gets 1 star, because 0 stars is Not an option.. Priced like a restaurant, but is more like a...

The club looks like it has had a recent renovation or is brand new. Beautiful interior and high quality design. Restaurant is lovely. Food was ok but nothing special. Presentation was no different to any other club. So considering the quality of the building, staff and decor, the food is so-so. Just needs a decent chef to present better. Food prices rather high for such basic presentation. Guest on next table was complaining about the Laksa having no noodles. Our schnitzel was perfectly cooked, just bland. The Vindaloo was better but rice was crunchy from sitting out for too long and simply reheated. No way was it fresh. If you choose this very high price bracket then the food has to be much better.

The members deal of a half glass of wine with some meals is utterly insulting. No one would order a 125ml serve of wine. Either include a normal glass size or remove this tight-ass special.

Get a new chef and this club will be up there with the best.

Otherwise a 5 star property.

I agree with another reviewer. Turn the volume down for those constant and irritating reminders about the courtesy bus. The first time nearly blew me out of my chair. Duty manager needs to. take control of this, particularly when it's quiet such as...

My friend and I went for a day trip to Nambour and decided that an RSL club would be a good bet for quality and price. We were not disappointed... and expectations were exceeded !! What a lovely Club!!! Beautiful decor, modern timber, metals, fabrics, large spaces... all very modern and trendy but with enough softness to be acoustically comfortable!! No rattling around here in cold, noisy spaces. The menu options were great! More unique than most places (see photos), the service was polite and our meals came out in good time. There were lunch specials at very reasonable prices and members deals. The prawn and scallop linguine with lemon was superb!... take that from someone who lived in Italy for many years. Nearby folk on other tables were enjoying their meals when we spoke to them. It all looked generous well-presented and delicious. All up a great experience.

On our way out the windw wall display 'museum' of Veteran medals stories and artefacts was beautifully presented and enticing. We could have spent half a day reading and admiring it all. Terrific food, lovely ambience and polite service. From this experience we would...
