The Namba — Restaurant in Sunshine Coast Regional

We visited about two weeks ago which was probably only a week or two after opening and so I understand from the wonderful staff that by now a new menu will be in place. One young lady told us with genuine delight that they were going to have Parmies on the menu soon once the full menu was finalised. Keith and his team have done an exceptional job on the refurb. It retains all of the character of its history but now has a modern makeover. I particularly liked the recognition of the historical attributes of not only the hotel but the town. While the menu when we visited was only an interim one we still found more than enough to satisfy our needs. The food was delivered promptly and for the price was great value. The fish n chips I had was delicious and I would order it again without any hesitation. Another feature that I appreciated was the fact that ( and this is only my estimation)at least 80% of the beers available either on tap or by can etc were from local suppliers. Initially I traveled from Mooloolaba to check out the renovation work that had been undertaken to give a neglected old lady a makeover. We have returned since our initial visit and look forward to seeing the innovations and improvements that the new publican delivers moving forward given. They have certainly started from a high base and I look forward to more satisfying experiences...

Namba Pub has a comfortable, no-fuss atmosphere that makes it easy to enjoy a good meal without any pretension. It’s the kind of place that feels familiar, even on a first visit.

The standout of the night was the steak—beautifully cooked and well-seasoned, with a nice sear and tender interior. It hit that sweet spot of flavourful without being overdone, and it paired perfectly with a smooth, buttery mash that held its own on the plate.

The salad was fresh and tasty, with just enough dressing to bring it together without overwhelming the rest of the meal.

Service was friendly and attentive from start to finish, and the staff helped keep the mood relaxed and welcoming throughout.

Where do I start! Firstly the staff are really nice, down to earth, friendly and helpful. They are really approachable and obliging. It was a pleasure meeting them and they made me feel really welcome. Okay then the food! Although I have only tried the gourmet Steak sandwich so far I can confirm that it was something else! 'Extremely delicious' and not like any Steak sandwich I have had before. It was excellent for taste and flavour with a great presentation and design 😋 That's the staff and the food so far 'Excellent'. The premises is a really interesting Old/New Redesign.
