This gem of a local time capsule was a terrific surprise – the reviews and Google listing don’t do it any justice in conveying the breadth of subject matter surveyed (20+ themed rooms + a bunch more outside!), nor how lovingly it is all curated and displayed. Going through, I could feel how much attention so many patrons have poured into this place, sharing their stories and heritage. Really fantastic. I especially liked the bits about the telecommunications (and the replica post office), and learning more about the sugar farming and factory. The maps of the sugar train lines were neat! This was a wonderful little adventure for myself and 3 young children today. We have been past so many times wondering what treasures were held inside. I actually think I’d like to go back on my own to read more of the history of town and all the artefacts which have been lovingly donated. The ladies volunteering were so wonderful offering their knowledge when I couldn’t describe what something was to the kids. Great fun for a quick hour or so in town! Everyone...
