UPDATED POST 18/06/24:
Well, since my original post, a few things have changed at Coles Nambour, hence the EXTRA 2 STARS, bringing you up to 4stars, thinking about my visit today there.
The brand new flooring is in, shelving has expanded, Lovely new modern Refrigeration units have been installed and there have been quite a few "Relays" of products completed.
All in all a terrific job guys.
As an old retired Supermarket Manager, myself, some of the product relays, (that's "relocation" to the layperson), presumably are still in the areas they were forced to be hurriedly moved to whilst the shelving had to be dismantled to allow for the new flooring, as some wouldn't meet my approval. Lol. I always strove to display products both logically and "flowing" so to speak, with the tried and trusted method of displaying a product range "blocked" vertically with the smaller size packaging on higher shelves, flowing down to larger sized packaging on the lower shelves.
There are one or two instances where this isn't the case and unless you take the time to look behind you, on a different, facing, shelf, you may well miss the different sizes of related product packages and this may lead to some customers not purchasing a certain item and thinking that the sized package they're after is out of stock.
I'm sure there's more to come in the way of product relays in due course eh.
I'm still a bit ify about the Deli products after contracting a bout of the "Trots" following consuming certain items so I now tend to buy "pre-packaged", any ready to eat meats etc.
The staff at Nambour Coles are still very friendly and say hello with a smile and share a joke or a yarn, if they're not too busy, so well done crew.
OLDER, ORIGINAL POST:
The harsh 2stars rating is no reflection on the quality of most products or the lovely, friendly staff, but moreover, for the constant and growing "out of stock" items and empty shelves of, really, basic supermarket items like tinned veges, dairy products, some meats, cleaning products, Bakery items etc etc which is really frustrating at times. One day, I couldn't even buy a 2 or 3litre bottle of normal milk because of a supply problem ffs!! Now, you might expect this situation at odd times at stores in remote regional areas, but this situation should NOT happen in a Coles Supermarket on the Sunshine Coast!! Also, as is the case everywhere, prices seem to be going up on a daily basis to the extent that us poorer shoppers are going without ESSENTIAL EVERYDAY ITEMS simply because we can't afford them. For example, if I buy the milk for my coffee, I can't buy the coffee too, or if I buy the sugar, I can't afford the milk etc.
Another problem I've encountered with the Nambour Coles Supermarket, is the somewhat questionable freshness and storage of a few Deli meat products, namely the roast Chicken Meat and some of the Hams and Silverside and Roast Beef products, which, I suspect, have actually given me bouts of "Delhi Belly" and diarrhoea at times and so I now avoid purchasing them.
However, even with these things, the staff are, for the most part, really nice and always say hello with a smile and a few, that I've come to know, will even have a yarn and share a joke or...
Read moreI made an online order yesterday for the fist time with Coles. I recieved a confirmation email to say the order was complete. I than arrived to pick my order up to be told that there was no order for that number. I than contact customer care and was told there was a mistake and the order was not submitted. The operator told me to submit the order and that I would not be charged again. I submitted the order. I recieved a message today stating that my order was ready for collection. I than checked my account and another $500 has been debited from my account. I phoned customer care to advise of this and was told it is going to take 8-10 days for me to get the money back. I am absolutely disgusted and can not believe that I have now had over 1k taken out of my account. I have a family to look after and bills to pay and am now down 500 for another 8-10 days. When I was specifically told no more money would come out of my account. I would like an explanation from management about what is going to be done about this. I will never be ordering through Coles again. Next time I will go through woolworths as this is just not good enough at all. The staff in Nambour were so rude and not...
Read moreVery nice, and very clean store. Big and roomy, plenty of room for social distancing if only people would remember too, especially when coughing. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, which is fantastic for people needing help. They certainly do their best to have stock available if possible in these trying times. They do their best, but people have to also do their best and only take what they need for now ( and don't stock pile) and share with other people, because at the end of day we all have families to feed and look after too. Remember trucks come in every week with stock so what is not available this week might be next week. And people PLEASE DON'T ABUSE THE STAFF FOR DOING THEIR JOBS. I had to witness this with my little grandson in tow and was not nice for him or anyone to see or hear. To those people that abuse these wonderful people for doing there jobs and enforcing rules so everyone can have a fair share I say GROW UP AND GET A BETTER ATTITUDE, LIFE DOESN'T REVOLVE AROUND YOU ONLY. To all the staff at Coles Nambour thankyou for you do for everyone including the dysfunctional ones who don't where their...
