Having discovered Nurcha during a stay on the Sunshine Coast last year, it’s been my go to café for brunch during my two Sunny Coast holidays so far this year, and I don’t see that changing. I was told it was a great café, including for non-vegans, and I initially chose it because its large, attractive, covered, dog-friendly outdoor seating area was the perfect place for my pooch and I to shelter from last November’s rain while I had breakfast. (My dog had already eaten.) It also provides shelter from the summer sun. Let me say at the outset that I am not vegan and that the food is both delicious and beautifully presented. My favourites to date are the wholemeal pancakes, rosti benny and smashed avocado. The health nut açai bowl was also a great choice. I chose the extra fruit option. The croissant with tofu scramble was tasty, and a bit of an adventure for me, as I’m not a great tofu fan. The tofu had more flavour than I was expecting. I thought that the addition of say some grape tomatoes or a drizzled sauce would have made the dish less dry. I was at first unsure how I’d go with a non-dairy flat white coffee. The staff suggested I try oat milk. Good recommendation. It’s different from dairy, but I liked it, and now I really look forward to my Nurcha flat whites. They always taste of real coffee, and every one has been hot, which is such a delight. If you don’t like it hot, wait a moment, but a coffee served lukewarm will never heat up. Generally, they are also artistically presented. There’s also a choice of tasty and refreshing smoothies. The café is often busy, but there’s a reasonable turnover, and I’ve always found seating. And no matter how busy the café was, I’ve never waited long for my meal. It’s a highly efficient kitchen. As for the staff, they are so friendly, helpful and attentive, I’d almost go there just for them. I’m a bit of a regular now during my Sunny Coast visits, and I feel welcome and at home. There are quite a few staff members, and everyone has been 5 or more stars for me and for my dog, just as happy to provide a doggy water bowl as to serve my meal. If I was looking for a fault, I’d be disappointed. The negative reviews I read seem to be of a different place. Absolutely recommended. Menu photos are from...
Read moreI’ve been a customer of nurture since they first opened in Maroochydore and always loved it. The food was great, Service was awesome but lately I feel like they have gone downhill. The portions are smaller and the prices have gone up! I went in today craving an açai bowl, which I drove 20 minutes to get from nurture. All the staff were very friendly, well presented and as always the atmosphere was great very light and upbeat. I ordered my açai bowl, It was $19.90 as I added peanut butter. When I got the açai bowl I was extremely disappointed but I gave it the benefit of doubt before I tasted as the flavour could’ve outweighed what it was lacking in looks. It had one strawberry on it, half a banana and a mint sprig along with the peanut butter. I took a spoonful and realised the whole middle of the bowl was an air pocket! Now when I’m paying almost $20 for a açai bowl I am expecting something spectacular and for the bowl to be full and this sadly was a major waste of my money. I was extremely disappointed and that is an understatement. My craving was not cured and the açai tasted like bubblegum. I’m not one to ever leave reviews, but this really disappointed me as a frequent loyal...

As a newbie to the Sunny Coast, I was happy to be introduced to Nurcha by a friend.
This store is your one-stop shop for crystals, wooden angels, singing bowls, healthy gut foods and supplements, gifts, garden water features, decorative glass bowls on wooden stands, incense, and more. There's also the café which makes it a great place to catch your breath while shopping for homewares @ the home depot/centre (the exact name escapes me!).
Layout is beezy with an open front, so you don't feel couped up and air/sunlight-starved as you might in a closed-in shopping centre.
Worth knowing:
Become a member. 1 point per dollar spent. Points can be exchanged for drinks and goods as you creep up into the 200, 300 and 400 point range. Members receive their receipts digitally. This makes it harder to lose them come tax time (where relevant)! $10 meals on Thursday evenings. Great for the budget conscious (and after the last two years, that's a lot of people - perhaps some friends if not you directly). Parking available directly...
