Hello Harry The Burger Joint (Birtinya) — Restaurant in Sunshine Coast Regional

Okay get ready, I only ever do these things for ppl who are well deserving of their hard work. I've had Hello Harry's many times before and have always been happy with the food, drinks and service. Inside in Maroochydore,Caloundra and birtinya store. Birtinyas vibe inside is my personal favourite. But my favourite, all time experience happened recently, when I was trying to find some sort of catering that might do our Rustic Theme Backyard Wedding. We had 7 fussy kids to eat and we are the type of ppl that just want everyone to hang out and chill with a beer in one hand (obvs Apple juice for the kids) and BURGERS in the other!! We had 46x mouths to feed and It suited the vibe we were going for and that's when I came across Hello Harry's website offering Catering. Our wedding was in Glasshouse Mountains, Sunshine Coast so I was prepared to organise pickup as it was a bit far from the Birtinya Store. Sent an enquiry and within only a few hrs I got a message from the Main Lady in charge, beautiful Jacinta❤ Her communication, dedication to make sure I felt at ease that everything was going to be great and they were going to make our wedding their top priority was outstanding! She told me instantly not to worry about pickup as they will have it sorted themselves. I understand it may be different via which store so defo ask them first before assuming. She and the Main chef were great to talk to as they didn't want me to over order and helped me out personally with it and recommendations etc. Then came the big day and Wow!! I finally got to meet Jacinta and her partner, bringing in our order. Once again, I realised how much focus, effort and time they and the Birtinya team all put in just for this one wedding!! Thankyou so much for everything, ppl didn't stop raving about the food! The beef burgers were my personal favourite Chicken tenders were a real hit!! Everyone and I mean EVERYONE genuinely said how much they enjoyed the food!!! Thankyou to the chefs, Jacinta and the rest of Hello Harry team who all helped. Official Harry Buissness man needs to give Jacinta and her outstanding team massive recognition (and maybe a whole day of Paid Leave) because that would of been massive effort. We really can't thankyou guys enough for helping to make our special day even more special and memorable for everyone. They even have Instagram skills and showed their stuff off at the wedding, the Insta reel I'm envious of!! If your thinking of catering or .justeating there for a night out......

My daughter and I went to Hello Harry on the 17th of September 2025, we both ordered the Aussie burger. The young girl that served us was absolutely lovely. Unfortunately, our burgers did not live upto our expectations. They had a strange flavour, like something was off. I tasted every element of the burger separately and discovered it was the Beetroot. We told the female manager our concerns and she was so damn rude, telling us that thier produce is always fresh but then proceeded to tell us the tin of beetroot was opened on the 12th of September, 5 days old. We were disgusted with her response and definitely would not recommend this store to anyone. I managed 2 cafes in Toowoomba and if I ever received complaints, I would apologise profusely and refund the meal or offer a free desert or whatever the customer wanted because customers are always right no matter what.This was at the Bertinya store.

Adding a little extra after the response from the manager. Don't worry we would never ever return to your shop after the way you treated us. I don't care how many Aussie burgers you sold that day without complaints, some people don't like to complain but after the foul taste and smell of that BEETROOT, we had every right to say something. You really should take complaints seriously as customers should always come first. Also, you literally told us the beetroot was opened on the 12th of September which means it was in fact 5 DAYS old. Did you even bother to smell it or taste it? DON'T GO TO THIS STORE, THE MANAGER IS A RUDE COW.

I did not expect anything for free, I was simply letting you know that the beetroot was not right and you should've checked it. As the owner, you should have taken this matter seriously and checked the Beetroot but you chose to be rude. I hope you have a lovely day also and I could care less if you report me for slander because I'd rather give an honest review. We’ve gone to Hello Harry’s for yearsss first off in Maroochydore and now our closest is Kawana. I can appreciate inflation rising significantly which can impact portion sizes and the price but to go from a massive bowl full of loaded fries with tons of sauce, spring onions and chips to this barely full box which is $12.50 direct from hello Harry’s but $16.25 through Uber eats is highway robbery! I know you pay more through Uber because businesses are trying to cover Ubers costs but I would expect a decent portion size for something that almost cost the same as a burger. Same with a thick shake $11.70 which again is more expensive through uber. The burgers are always a great size and have flavour but I couldn’t not say anything as a customer that’s been coming for years I’m shocked. Plus after all this years they still haven’t been able to find a supplier of the wax paper for the chips so they don’t “melt” into the paper and then get paper stuck to the chips. 3 burgers, 1 onion rings, 1 loaded fries, 1 Nutella milkshake and 1 Nutella thick shake was $125 😳 again we paid it as we like the food but disappointed...
