Slowly making my way through all the cafes in Yandina and I might be slowed down due to a desire to become a repeated customer of Pioneer Coffee Roastery. The location is a little out of the main part of town but right amongst the "Things coated in Chocolate" district, opposite the Ginger Factory and beside NutWorks.
The shop itself is large open and has lots of natural light. They sell their own coffee as single origins and blends as well as a large range of coffee machines, supplies and accessories.
The cafe seems well stocked with sweet and savoury goodies in the cakes cabinet and although I had the intention of getting coffee and cake the fact that the veggie lasagna was no more expensive than the cakes proved to tempting to resist.
Service was excellent, $10.50 for a cup long black on the Guatemalan single (slightly ashy or smokey with a relaxed grapefruit acidity and nice round body) with cold milk on the side and I got to eat it on a couch! What more can you ask for.
Thanks to the staff for the excellent experience and the owners for establishing such a great... ermm......

If you get in and order before others the line should follow that order, really frustrating when the people ordering after me get served first. I think this will be my last visit here happy staff make for a welcoming return, just can't...
