A great pub, wicked trendy staff and so many good drinks. The food is also fantastic and the house rosé is delicious which makes me very happy. The beer range is amazing and very well priced for such a good location. I go so often that my parents were a bit concerned, but I took them and they loved it and fears reduced. Me and a few mates occasionally take a friends dog for a walk as an excuse because we secretly want to go to the pub, and it’s a real treat. It gets pretty busy but the staff are amazing and keep the pints flowing and people very happy. They also promote their free water station to keep us healthy. The balcony section is excellent for people watching. A plethora of sights from the city slickers returning home from a boozy lunch, to the awkward first date moments we all don’t enjoy experiencing but enjoy watching. Also the occasional beautiful sunset enhanced with a delicious beverage. The nitro stout is a firm favourite and the lemon squash is the perfect gateway drink if the dust hasn’t settled from the day before but you still want to have a lovely time. My friends also really love the Japanese lager and the new world pale ale. In summary, I love it and if you are in manly you have to visit.

Met up with a friend from Japan that we hadn't seen for 28 years, who has spent most of her life living in the North Sydney beach area. Her recommendation for lunch for the family group of us was 4 Pines Brew Pub. It's very close to the Manly ferry terminal, which is pretty handy. Walk upstairs and you have a pretty big area for dining and drinking. It was fairly busy, and the only place we can find to seat our group of 8 is a little balcony that has bar stools around the perimeter, and affords a pretty view of the street below, and parts of the harbour beyond. Their homemade brews are tasty, and cover a good variety of tastes. Between us, we tried about 3 varieties, and the flavours were quite distinctive. From a menu that included most the bar and nitro classics, we chose spiced wings and fries, a barramundi fish burger and beer battered dory and chips, and they all went down a treat. The bar staff were efficient, helpful and friendly. No problems with recommending this place for a meal, drink or better still - both!

Took the wife and kids (11 and 13) here for the first time and absolutely loved it. At first, I wasn’t sure. Let’s be real, it’s not the prettiest place, and I was a bit skeptical. But then I reminded myself it’s a pub, not a fine dining spot. Once I got past that, we ordered a mix of dishes. The steak, burgers, and salads were spot on. Way better than a lot of high-end restaurants I’ve been to. Super impressed. Just keep in mind you’ll need to place your order at the bar. Prices were really reasonable for what you get, which was a nice surprise. Only downside was parking. Street parking is pretty limited, but there are Wilson and other local car parks nearby. At the time of writing this, we paid $20 for 4 hours, which wasn’t too bad. Overall, a solid experience, and we’ll definitely be back.

One of the absolute worst experiences on a night out. They had the table my friend and I were sitting at booked for 7pm. We told the staff that we would be more than happy to leave/move as soon as 7pm came. At 6:40 they cleared out glasses before we even finished and asked us to leave the premises. I asked them why I had to leave the premises when we told them we would move by 7pm, they couldn't give me an answer. One of the floor staff said he was the manager on the night (which was an outright lie). I then spoke to another manager (who called the police for no reason at all) and said we had been refused service and asked us to leave the premises right away. After another 5 minutes, I left the premises, where the police showed up. The police had realised I had done nothing wrong (wasting their on time as well as my time).

I am one to never ever leave reviews as I understand the impact it can have on businesses. But calling the police because they had double booked a table was absolutely unacceptable. Wasting police resources is also completely unacceptable. Noone else should have to go through the experience I had. We had 20 minutes before the booking was showing up, and getting asked to leave 20 minutes prior to this occurring is absolutely disgusting and unacceptable.

UPDATE 5 days later - I was contacted by Will (from 4 Pines head office) to discuss the experience at the Brewpub. We had a very productive and reasonable discussion. He apologised for the experience that we had and how we were treated from the floor staff. He apologised on behalf of 4 Pines and I truly appreciated this. We have had very good experiences at the Brewpub previously and I do not want a couple of completely unprofessional floor staff to ruin the brand and experience that they...

We had a great time here eating and . They are conveniently located right across from the Manly ferry station. I only wish their seating was a bit higher so you can see more of the water while you eat.

It's a fast casual format, so you order and pay at the register, and then food is delivered to you. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. We tried the shepherds pie, steak and fries (medium rare cooked to perfection with just salt and pepper), and their fish and chips. The latter was fried perfectly, with the fish still very moist while the outside was crispy.

I'm an IPA guy, but I understand that IPAs don't seem as big outside the area I live in. 4 Pines didn't have any true IPAs on tap that day, but honestly, I always drink IPAs, so it's probably good that I was "forced" to try something different. I enjoyed their flight of beers very much (Pale Ale, American Amber Ale, Hazy Pale Ale, Nitro Stout), though I have to say the PB&J wasn't for me. Fortunately, they gave me a tasting before I committed to this. That said, my brother in law loves their PB&J! I'm not a stout guy, but their stout was delicious, creamy, and smooth. I didn't love their American Amber Ale, but that's okay since everyone likes something different!

All in all, a great place to hang out, grab a bite, and...
