Having just returned from an overnight staycation here I feel I must address a few things .. After checking in, we were greeted by a slightly frustrated family in the Right hand lift that wasn't moving (more on this later)... So we headed to our room in the Left hand lift and went about our day The room was just ok ....If I'm being totally honest $416 for a midweek stay in what feels like a slightly dated room was a bit on the high side , and unfortunately no breakfast options at all,, .unless you want to visit the restaurant next door which is nothing to do with Peppers ??.or drink the $8 bottle of water in your room ????? After a great early morning walk along the beach , we headed back for a swim , Upon jumping in the pool , the pool guy appeared as soon as I'd come up for air , and said it was pool clean time and that I'd have to get out , I was in the pool no longer than 5 seconds.. A simple explanation from reception staff could have mentioned this previously, and we could have rearranged our time .. We left the pool after 10 minutes of cleaning and no swim and headed to the right hand lift ..and unsure why , but we had absolutely no control over it (I'd assume the key reader is faulty) so went to floor 1 then 3 then ground , back to 5 twice before finally getting out on floor six to head to the stairs., it's at this point we find they're all one way fire escape doors ??? And had to walk down to floor 1 as it was the only fire escape open ???
I think this , and the fact I'd had alerts that my credit card declined 4 times since arriving on my banking app , due to staff trying to take payment for room without me being present has left a bad taste .. Yes the receptionist was made aware of all of the above whilst leaving , but nothing was done no compensation offered, no offers to speak to the managr ...so we left , would we return ?? Probably not...

On arrival (2pm) room was not ready and had to wait for them to call to let me know when room was ready. As 3pm past, I had to call to ask if the suite was ready, they then had to call back as they were unsure ! 5 mins later said room was ready.|On entering the room and view was breath taking, we all went out for dinner and had a great night in Manly. On returning to room the master bedroom was infested with little flying bugs all over the bathroom, every wall, roof, side lamps, over the bed. It looked like something had hatched in the drains and resulted in 1000's of little bugs everywhere.|We were unable to sleep in this room and had to sleep on the sofa bed !!!! Unexpectable !!!!!|On check-out, I spoke to reception and they said that they were aware of the bug problem and were treating it!!!!! This room should NOT be rented out until this problem is fixed.|I have email the hotel with still yet...
Read morePeppers Manly was a last minute booking and we could not have been happier. Our apartment was compact but new, clean, functional and had amazing views out to Sydney City. We enjoyed the balcony any time of day, including the Cockatoos which visited daily. The location is perfect with the beach across the road, Manly shops/restaurants are less than 5 mins walk. The Peppers team is young, very friendly and helpful. They made us feel like they were happy to have us as guests. Its always nice to be greeted with a smile. We had a car and the parking is super expensive @$40/day but for that you get undercover parking, out of the elements and secure. Its a very tight car park so not for the faint hearted. The hotel has 2 pools. We didn't use either as they were often busy with loud large guests and we had the beach directly across the road. We were a bit disappointed that those guests using the pool would almost flood the lifts each day returning to their rooms wet. We loved our stay here and would highly...
