Akly Charcoal Chicken — Restaurant in Sydney

Amazing little charcoal chicken shop in the heart of riverwood. I could smell something in the air and didn't stop walking till I found it.

I ordered the chicken burger combo and chicken ribs. Approx $26 all up.

The service was good enough, it can go a little further, but they were busy which is understandable. To be honest, it's decent enough.

The burger and chips came out first. I would have loved the ribs at the same time but that's okay. The burger was old school style with fresh lettuce and zesty chicken combo working well. The bun soft and sauce creamy. The chicken was dry however. I still loved it, but it could have been 10 stars if it was moist.

The chips are good enough with excellent seasoning. Alittle soggy, but it's okay.

The chicken ribs were the stand out. Juicy, smoky and zesty. It's slap the table good.

All in all, fantastic place. I'll be back for another...

Extremely rude customer service, it seemed it was an inconvenience for me to be served. All of the staff seemed angry with no care as to how customers were treated. I ordered a simple chicken roll- pre cooked/prepped ingredients that should take 5 minutes to wrap up and toast. This process somehow took upwards of 20 minutes, probably due to their prioritisation of prepping and simply just showing no urgency to provide efficient service. The wrap was quite nice, however chicken was dry and it was just nothing special. I ordered some pickles as well, and oh my god I think I have exceeded my yearly sodium intake in one sitting. I'm obsessed with this Lebanese takeaway shop! I've tried several dishes from their menu, and every single one has been a flavor explosion in my mouth. The quality of the food is exceptional, and you can tell they use only the freshest ingredients. The chicken skewers are a must-try as it is juicy and perfectly seasoned, and the pita bread is soft and fluffy, and don't even get me started on the hummus - it's creamy, tangy, and utterly addictive. But what really sets this place apart is the service. The owners are so friendly and welcoming, and they genuinely care about their customers.
