Alakati Taverna — Restaurant in Sydney

Alkali Taverna (Cyprus club) was a great overall taverna with economic prices $49/person set menu as shown in the photo i attached. The menu they showed had also octopus but it was missing from what they served for a table for 2 although I didn't notice to ask at the time if they forgot to bring, food was more then enough, nicely cooked. It would have been even better if we had also little piece of lamb slow cooked instead of the seafood, maybe they could have a seafood option and a meat option instead of mix for those who want to fast too or are vegan. The music was good,the singer very young, pretty humble good greek girl with beautiful voice. The sound on the speakers wasn't the best but we enjoyed it. Particularly enjoyed the fact the music wasn't loud and we could speak in the background & not get a head from the music or ears ringing after that. The booking was made last minute for a table of 2 about an hr before going at 6.30 and we left at 9 just after the first people started dancing. The staff were very friendly and kind, they came past about 3 times to ask if we were ok or needed anything. In the end I asked if there were any deserts but they didn't bring any, maybe they didn't hear as I spoke too softly sometimes. Excellent, The food, drinks, and staff are very friendly. There is a aband in the resturant, and much tradional Greek dancing.
