Racist people! Racist store! Absolutely disgusting! First time ever in my life experiencing racism and such rude attitude. My girlfriend and I waited patiently for 15 minutes to order our gelato, only to be COMPLETELY ignored when we reached the front of the queue. The white female server who worked on Wednesday night (9:30 pm, 18th Sep 2024), with an unmistakable racist attitude, skipped us without a word and started serving the white customers behind us. When I called her out on this appalling behavior, she had the audacity to give us a smug, dismissive look, as if our presence didn’t matter.

Even the customer behind us spoke up and said we should have been served first, but this RACIST employee didn’t care! Neither did any other staff member. It was as if we were invisible. The fact that racism like this is tolerated and goes unchecked is absolutely disgusting.

I am a man, 6’3”, and didn’t want to escalate the situation publicly or humiliate a girl in front of everyone as I have manners and am well-educated, so we left in disgust. But the incident continued to bother me, and I decided to seek an apology by calling the store afterward. What made it even worse? When I spoke to another staff member, it became clear that they were covering for her! They knew exactly what had happened, yet they tried to excuse her behavior and refused to admit any fault. The entire staff showed ZERO accountability, and it was obvious they were protecting her despite knowing she was being racist.

This place needs to be held accountable for allowing such open discrimination. I am furious and deeply hurt by this experience. If you have any respect for human decency, avoid this place at all costs if you do not want to be treated differently. As for the store owner and manager, train your employees better, as you’re supposed...

Simply the best gelato style ice cream. A good selection of good old and interesting new flavours. Some favourites are Strawberry Balsamic Pannacotta, Black Sesame, Raspberry White Chocolate and Pistachio. The ice-cream is super smooth with no perceptible ice crystals. It leaves your palate refreshed without a fatty after taste showing the quality of the ingredients and attention to detail in the production process. They also have a good selection of sorbet for the dairy intolerant in your group along with coffee and cakes on offer. For a couple, grab a multi scoop tub with two spoons and share because it is more economical than two singles. Ordinarily it can get busy at peak times and seating is very limited - but they are only doing takeaway during COVID. Cow and the Moon ice cream has been a favourite for years ever since discovering it on a trip to Sydney many years ago. Now living in Sydney it is a special trip across the city. You must try Cow and the Moon ice cream, I guarantee you will be...

I came to Cow & The Moon late on a Friday night, and it was really busy. The shop isn't overly big, and the line snaked around the shop and out onto the road. Despite that, we were served quickly. Service was very efficient. Staff were knowledgeable about their flavours, the ingredients that were used to make the gelato, and flavour combinations. They patiently let people try different flavours and were helpful with their recommendations. Our server really knew which flavours paired well together.

I had a small serve of gelato in a cone and had coffee and mango with macadamia nuts ($8.80). My friend also had a small serve and had cherry with chocolate and passionfruit. The gelato was easy to eat. It was light and airy. I particularly liked the passionfruit gelato. I also bought a 1 litre take-home pack ($29). As part of that, you get to choose 3 flavours. I got chocolate, mango sorbet and pistachio. Each flavour was...

We have been looking to try Cow and the Moon gelato for a while now. They have certainly mastered the texture of the gelato. It is super creamy and beautifully crafted. They have interesting flavours like orange and poppyseed and Affogato. However, the experience is diminished by the fact the flavours blend as there is too much sugar. You could potentially close your eyes and barely identify the flavour ms as all you can taste after a while is sugar. If they use less sugar their product would be just simply amazing. Also the pricing is a bit weird. $8,90 for a small cup which is more like a medium - I wanted a small cup for my kids who really not use too much sugar… so I had to ask for a small portion but still pay $8,90. In contrast the medium was gigantic almost impossible for a person to finish for $9,90 so we paid for our little kids almost $40 plus myself and my husband all up nearly $60. A bit disappointing.

Been here ever single they named the world's best gelato in at the Gelato World Tour in Taly in September 2014 with their mouth watering Mandoria Affogato with consist of Kenyan single origin espresso, salted caramel sauce & roasted caramelized almonds mixed in Madagascan vanilla Bean Gelato. It has always been my favourite to go to gelato here ever since. They have a good range of gelato flavours thought recently they didn't change much but a solid choices such as Cookies & Cream, Lamington, Hokey Pokey, Turkish delight, after dinner mint to refreshing sorbet like the rockmelon, lychee and coconut sorbet, passionfruit cream, lemon lime and Ginger. My favourite here is teh classic Mandoria affogato, Elderberry, black sesame, Matcha, Hojicha & the lemon lime and Ginger. It's smooth, creamy and great texture here that I will come back for when i'm in this area of the town.
