Anand Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in Sydney

This restaurant ruined my 21st birthday, there was absolutely no positives and I would not recommend anyone to pay for a function there, he is just ripping you off. We paid for 55 people and he did not set up that many chairs and gave my whole family attitude when we were setting up for our party. The owner is completely rude since we booked the party as we had paid the money. Furthermore besides the lack of seats, it was completely cramped in there and he didn't want to turn on the AC when everyone found it very hot and he said it's the ladys problems for wearing so much makeup. Furthermore him and his staff did nothing my family and friends had to help with service as his staff were just sitting around and even kept changing our music to their traditional music. To make it worse, the toilet was diagusting and overflowing, and he couldn't have even moped it. His restaurant doesn't even have hot water which is a health hazard so his being washing everything with cold water. The list doesn't end here, our family and serveral of our guests complained all the glasses were dirty because he didn't wash them and he didn't even have enough glasses for the guest even though we did tell him we are having 55 people. Finally he was also cost cutting by have alot of sauce in the food and barely any meat, and alot of people didn't even experience the food as he refused to refill as he was saving the food for his customers as he kept running the restaurant even though we booked it for the night and he kept all the food we were entitled to in order to reheat and serve it the next day. The serve was absolutely disgusting and very unprofessional, he even just brought out the food in the pots and he cooked it in as well as just placed the plates on a chair and all the cutlery in a bucket. I am honestly so devastated he took money from my family and mislead us to believe he could cater for that many people when he didn't have the space or equipment. He is not qualified to be called a restaurant he did not assist in making the party go smoothly with his attitude as well as his staff telling us and the guest to collect the plates and our family had to prepare the salad and cut all the cake and hand it out. I don't know why we paid him when they did not help make the day special in the slightest! Never will eat there because after seeing the kitchen on the day, I believe it's a serious health hazard...

DO NOT ORDER! Placed an order with Delivery Hero, with delivery to my area. Received a phone call 10 minutes after confirming my order, and taking payment, to be told that their driver was having a day off, and that I could still come and collect it, wasn't very rude when I stated I could not come and collect it, hence why I ordered delivery, and paid a $5 fee for the convenience. Called Delivery Hero, whom told me they were told, that Anand's car was stuck, and broken down. I now have to wait 3 days for a refund, when they could have just been honest, and not confirmed the order. Now I will also wait the 3 days for Google to approve my review, in the hopes I save someone else the hassle....

Ordered through Menulog and paid $10 delivery fee. Then got a call from owner to tell me he had no driver to deliver, so I went and picked up. Delivery fee refunded however, the amount of food given for a $75 order was appalling. Next to no meat in the four curries ordered, 4 rice containers that were only half full, naan bread that was burnt. When the owner rang to confirm delivery refund, my wife complained and she was promptly abused and handed the phone to me, then owner abused me too.
