Ordered pick up, tried ordering a spaghetti bolognese - got told they don’t have spaghetti, No not “out of stock” they don’t have it at all! (Weird as hell for an Italian restaurant and not at all how the Randwick restaurant is run)
So how about a fettuccini boscaiola? Nope, they don’t do boscaiola either. Settled on fettuccini bolognese to avoid any more confusion - which was awful, sauce was watery and sweet like it was from a can, not even a handful of meat, no seasoning, no parmesan, it was gross 🤢 Grabbed a menu to take home that said they ONLY have fettuccini, no other pasta options
Pollantro pizza was not great, chicken was barely there and the pieces that made it onto the pizza were crumbly and dry, its like they used the rocket to cover up putting on less ingredients. Pepperoni and Garlic pizzas were decent, only thing I would go for again if I was trapped in this place and had to pick something for survival
Really disappointed at the Rosebery branch, I’ve been going to the Arthurs pizza in Randwick since I was a kid and was very excited to have one closer to my home. But this place is an insult to the original, won’t be ordering...
Read moreMy husband and I ordered 2 pizzas from the Roseberry store mainly because they are close by and have an average review rating of 4.5 out 5. When they arrived and I opened the box my face dropped, I was so disappointed. Being of Italian background I grew up eating "real" pizza and I know what a good pizza looks and tastes like. Where do I start? The base (or can you even call it a base) was dry, flakey and badly made. It's hard to describe but the closest comparison is dry bread or pita. Where was the tomato that goes on the base? If it was there then it had totally dried up. The ingredients on top looked and tasted like they were not cooked through. It was like the pizza had been thrown in the microwave and the top layer had been just warmed but not cooked through. I hate to admit it but Dominos pizza...
Read moreWe came here because of the google map reviews and were shocked to find a small takeaway store with only one person operating both the counter and the kitchen. Only three tables with a few chairs were available for use. We thought of going to another restaurant but decided to give them a shot.
We ordered mantova pizza and boscaiola. Unsurprisingly the food came in takeaway boxes.
The first bite was SHOCKING. The food smelt soooo good. And the pasta, man, I don't know what they put in there but it tasted GOOD good - like I didn't get bored after the first few bites! If you like your pizza crust crispy but not too thin that its not too filling - this is your spot.
The flavours went so well with each other we were pleasantly surprised. Will definitely be coming back...
