Asuka Japanese Kitchen (Kingswood) — Restaurant in Sydney

We dine in Saturday (Nov.18,2023) at around 8:40pm. It was advertised that they close at 9pm. The old lady at the counter took our order. It felt that she was rushing us to place our order and also when she was serving it to us. I specifically asked not to put sesame seeds and sauce on the chicken katsu bento as my child is on the spectrum and would not like anything on her food. I saw her typing my modification but the food came out still with sesame seeds on and with sauce. My daughter then didn't touch her food. As soon as it was 9pm, she then instructed us to leave the restaurant coz apparently, they closed 9pm on the dot. Mind you, she just served us our food not even for 10 mins. and we are having ramen. I had indigestion when we got home for having to eat my dinner in such a hurry. She doesn't even gives enough time to eat and enjoy our food. Such a very rude service. Could have said that they're just taking order for takeaway and not let us sit and dine in the restaurant only to be rushed and asked to leave. Definitely not...

I'm usually not one to write reviews, but my recent visit was a disaster that left me severely ill: their octopus takoyaki caused food poisoning.

severe diarrhea and debilitating fatigue for 2 DAYS.

While I understand that mistakes can happen, the severity of my reaction suggests a lapse in food handling or preparation. As a paying customer, I expect a certain level of quality and safety.

I strongly advise others to exercise caution. My experience was a harsh reminder that food poisoning is not a joke.

I hope the management takes steps to prevent another incident...

This is the worst sushi restaurant I've eaten at ordered 1 wagyu beef bento box and 1 teriyaki chicken bento box (takeaway). The wagyu was so dry. Very small portion. It felt like a rubber. The chicken teriyaki was so oily and was pumped with sugar. Obviously, this was recooked and showered with oil.
