I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this Banh Mi shop was unacceptable. I ordered two banh mi, and I clearly told the lady making them that I didn’t want any pickles. She still added a bunch to the first one, so I politely asked her to remove them. Because of that, I kept an eye on the second one to make sure it was made correctly.
What really upset me was what happened next: I overheard her say something rude in Vietnamese to the woman next to her — “Nhìn con nhỏ này nó nhìn thấy ghét ko nè!” — which basically translates to “Look at this girl, isn’t she so annoying?”
Excuse me? Is this how you treat paying customers?
I don’t care how busy or tired you are, there’s no excuse for being rude or talking badly about someone right in front of them (especially assuming they don’t understand you or cant hear you). That kind of behavior is unprofessional and very disrespectful.
To be clear, this was the lady who appears to be mixed Indian — if management is reading this, you might want to talk to her about basic customer service and common courtesy.
I won’t be coming back. There are plenty of other banh mi spots that not only make good food but treat their customers...
Read moreWhen I went to the bankstown, I saw a lot of people waiting to buy pork roll. It must be the best pork roll in bankstown. Some other reviews put the best pork roll in sydney. Is it true?
Ordered pork roll, and I told the lady that I wanted to order pork roll , and guess what she confused and asked me this, that, those. I said traditional pork roll, and then she understood. If I said bbq pork, then it is different with pork roll. I requested a pork roll and not with bbq in front.
I told her everything, no chilli and more sauce. Guess what? She gave me chilli. Did you give me chilli? I said no chilli. She put it to other orders and guessed what she forgot to put soy sauce in there.
Taste like : pate is no that good pate. Only good if they mix with mayo, but when you eat their pate and taste is ordinary. I ate another pork roll bought from the city, and their pate is sweeter than this one. The only good with this pork roll is the pickle.
Is it the best pork roll in sydney? Nope Is the best turnip pickle? Yep, maybe The price is cheap though only 7 bucks , compared you eat pork roll in city that will cost you...
Read moreI visited on a Wednesday during lunch time and the store has an abundant of people waiting to eat their banh mi rolls. One of the service lady will promptly call you whenever they finished with their previous orders so you have to wait for too long. I got the pork roll today and it was packed with all sorts of cha lua (cold meats) and fresh vegetables and herbs (cucumber, pickled carrot and onions and coriander). I really like their paté and the banh mi is just at the right amount of seasoning, not too salty or bland. The only downside would be if their banh mi rolls could be more fresh. I wanted it to be at least warm and crunchy but mine one was a bit stale and cold which made it a bit hard to bite into. Otherwise the service is quick and friendly. You could also buy their paté to take home that comes in 2 sizes $5 for small and $8 for medium...
